About PeterJackson being the movie director for Halo's movie.

I respect him and all... but..

Have you seen King Kong? So it was an alright film, went on for way to long though. Anyway, I found that it had a few graphical errors and such.. ok, King Kong and Ann kept going out of proportion - all the time. If anyone who is as observant than me will agree too.. she was being held in his hands and she was about as big as his head. He put her down, and when he bent down, she was like 1/4 of his head. Hes just not good with the graphical stuff, well, maybe he is.. just the people who worked on the animation and graphics. The scenes were too long, like the dinosaurs.. it just got cheesy. The two dudes just like running away from dinosaurs.. RUNNING AWAY? How is that even possible, they'd just sqwuash you.. Ann suriveded one dinosaur, then another came up, survided that.. and another came up etc. etc.. And how can you hide from a dinosaur on a little mound, when he is like 100 feet tall. I can just imagine in.. MasterChief survises 100 elites, then surivses 200 hunters, and then he hides from 25 convenant drop-ships, in a bush. Lol.

The scenery kept changing too, out of proportion, and when Ann was running next to some 2D dinosaurs, 2D.. King Kong was a bad film, and Im scared the Halo movie would be too.

Anyone else agrees with me?
- Sorry about bad spelling.. just I feel quite ill. ;[

King Kong was long and some part were boring, and im sure it didnt have all that stuff in the original, with all those man eating plants and i don' thinkt he origional had dinosaurs either, but nothing beats the origional but i'd give it a 4 out of 5 because it isnt about the action (i think) it is about what some people would do for love ( i think), and with error come experience, Halo will be an awsome movie, even tho if you have played and beat the game you probably know the plot onless it isnt based on the game at all and it shows what happend next after you've completed it, anyway the point is everyone makes mistakes, and in a movie you work as a team the directer is just as important as the actors, makeup, sound, script, everything, so when one person fails, everyone eles does aswell, and everyone learns from error, so in his "errors" hopefully peter jackson learned fromt hem so he won't make the same mistake during the production of "Halo" the movie.

oh hes producing? damn i just wrote all that for nothing!

I am...whimsical today.

I really enjoyed King Kong, its one if my favorite movies. I didn't really notice the size discrepancies.

PJ is my favourite director. I am confident that he is going make or produce very good movie. A movie that stands not for just Halo name but a good movie for it self.

LOTR Was god damn awesome.

  • 06.12.2006 8:47 AM PDT

lol

Yeah, me and my friends all noticed these out of proportion sizes. And that it was a bit silly how they ran away just like that..

But, LOTR was from a book (ok so was Halo!) but it was never produced on film or anything close, so he created a film that couldn't compare to any other film so it had to be unique.. but like for King Kong and Halo - people have such high standards for them, and I just don't have much faith in him..

I know he should get another chance.. but I'm sure there is someone out there better.. Tim Burton? LOL.

I repeat again: he is producing, not directing.

I am still holding out for Fincher.

And Halo was not made from some book. Books were made from game.

Yeah, but still.. I dunno. Hes made some big films.. but hes not the greatest too me. If I was in control of the movie - one day I will be though* - I would never choose him.

*Im being serious.

What Jackson bring is Weta. The one think Weta does very very well is detail. I agree with you that I am glad he is not directing, but I am not sure who I want directing.

Look at Lord of the Rings and King Kong. No matter what, it will be long in length. Even if he's not directing, halo is a big game.

If you don't got it, you want it. If you got it, you want more of it. Of course if you don't know what it is, it's hard to get any in the first place.

Peter Jackson is an amazing director, and he truly knows how to bring a vision to film. Even only in a producing role, with Weta, the Halo movie is in good hands.
