Honestly, I didnt like dual wielding. I am going to assume that 2 PRs in H2 has the same power as the one did in H1. To achieve the same effect, you must give up melees, grenades, and get a slower weapon change time. And after you do melee, you have to go back and pick up the weapon again. I miss the old PR :(, I found it very effective against elites and sentinels.

I see it as just another choice and a strategic one at that since you lose the ability to throw grenades. Though I never thought of it as the reason that I enjoyed the Halo 1 campaign more than that of Halo 2. It could be a reason but not the only one.
Also its not a good idea to take away features, but possibly have the choice (make it customizable in multiplayer or something like that - but that might be going too far)

I voted yes simply because it's simple like halo 1 it was funner that way. Maybe give the plasma rifle back it's freeze effect. And duel wielding sorta killed the shotgun. One more thing REMOVE THE SWORD. When you see "master the covenent energy sword" on xbox live on the side for tips what they really mean is killing your enemy that has an smg start with one over overpowerful lunge with an unbalenced weapon. Does lunging forward make any sense at all anyways? I could see it taking skill if you accualy had to hit them without lunging. I hate how Halo was made different just for the non fan type that think "omg two weapons better then one!!!" and didn't play halo combat evolved. So many here that just registered this year. Not many old school halo fans left.

YES, dual wielding is a skill... but then what does that make grenade throwing? a pastime?

Also, I understand perfectly what your saying... but yet again all you do to explain is say 'it's not the same'!!! EXPLAIN WHY. Nobody seems to be able to do it. I haven't seen one decent explanation. PLEASE somebody explain WHY downgrading DW makes any less sense than downgrading grenades.

For the people alling duel weilding noobish, they say it like its a bad thing.

The "n00b" PP and AR/BR combo seems to help me win alot in slayer, getting me better scores. So what if its noobish? its strong and good. So don't call stuff noobish coz you get beat by it alot, jut means you gotta get better, instead of making up excuses.


It was n00bish because you could kill someone about .3 seconds after contact, .3 seconds after the first shot, the overcharge, hits. That doesn't give someone much time to react, on top of that if you see it coming and duck beind a corner 99 times out of 100 it'll still magically hit you, then all the person had to do was snap their aim from one side of your head to the other while firing, one bullet will automatically seek out your head becuse of the autoaim. That's why people don't like the N00b combo.

id have to vote for remove it, i just played halo ce again recently and i couldnt be more convinced that NOT DUAL WIELDING IS BETTER! it plays better, iit workks better, itt feeels better, its the way haalo was creaated and the way it should end, i really hope bungie are brave enough to admit this and remove a feature(gasp!) from the game, it wasnt all bad, but let it die!

Sure some of it was level design, but a large part of it was the solidness of the weapons and the choice you had to make per combat situation because you could only hold 2 weapons. No kids...we need dual wielding to be BALANCED. Dual wielding is extremely unbalanced while up close..there are absolutely no punishments for picking up a second weapon..

2x the firepower
Same distance
No enhanced recoil
..etc..etc...

We need the 'half weapons' to be powerful enough to get a kill on it's own with again..keep dual wielding (but make it balanced by) increasing the amount of recoil while holding two weapons, and making you reload each weapon on it's own (not at the same time like in H2)

This would let dual wielding, a great (if somewhat flawed) feature in Halo 2, stay but make it mor e balanced so people will need to become more skilled at a game, rather than thinking "I'm better than you because I can use 2 weapons, and you only had 1."

Are you joking? That was the beginning of the first level, and you can't shoot them all at the same time...

Improving? You call weakenin most of the weapons, and then giving us the ability to pick them both up at the same time..with no repurcussions, and getting skillless kills "improvement"? Wow..read above this post.

Why? It allows for additional gameplay choices, and helps improve the balance...two SMGs are a lot better at taking out a Battle Rifler than only one...

There should be more recoil, so it is harder to aim, but the inability to throw grenades evens out the playing field significantly if you're even remotely skilled with grenades.

Not being able to throw nades was just the beginnning..Bungie didn't finish making Dual Wielding balanced, and they have plenty of time to do so in Halo 3 by increasing recoil and time it takes to reload.

Did you ever notice that you 'reload' your guns while dual wielding by rubbing the sides of your thighs? How does that work?

Take it out. All it does is throw off the balance of the duals used alone. Pick up a Mangum and shoot some guy in the head. He won't die with just one clip.

if you dont like it in SP player but like it in MP, there is a simple solution....dont use it in SP
and then stop -blam!-ing adn making stupid polls
