For those of you with no clue what I'm talking about I'll explain the basics. Live anywhere is basically a cross platform service between PC, Mobile and 360, one gamertag, one friends list, one gamerscore which means Halo 2 achievments YAY you will be told whether your friends are on Halo 2 Vista, Halo 3 or Shadowrun or on there Mobile don't what this will mean for servers.

Well most of the people with live! either cheated or did stupid stuff to get their levels up. I think that they should learn to get their levels up/down by actually playing people and not their friends. I think if Halo 2 pc does use it, people would have different stats, one for xbox and one for pc. I'm glad no one can bridge on the pc version, but hopefully halo 2 pc is hack free. (correct me if I'm wrong about bridging). Live Anywhere is going to have it's pros/cons

H2PC's confirmed not to use any sort of link to XBL's service. Or to that PC/Console versus feature.

IT not xbox live its PC live this will explain:Gates announces new platform--"Live Anywhere." Will be part of Windows Vista--will have one user interface, one identity, one friends list, one message center, one marketplace. Same as Xbox Live 360, same interface, embedded in Windows.

We already know what Live Anywhere is, because it's not like we haven't been paying attention to E3. This what they said.

"Probably not."

There's already been a poll on this before, btw.

No, live blows when it comes to actually gaming. peer to peer gaming has to be the most stupid idea ever, dedicated servers blow everything else out of the water. Not to mention the stupid 9 year olds that play halo 2 on live, they make me want to cut their toungues out. No consolized ports kthx.

Also:

* Halo 2 gamers have a two year headstart on PC gamers who've never played H2, but at the same time, PC gamers with the mouse/keyboard will also royally pwn Xbox players.

* The PC gaming community is a bit more mature, since most people who play PC games are more older, and need a little bit of knowledge required to install, run, and play games, and know computers and such. The PC community and Xbox community won't interact that well. Not to say that there aren't racist, stupid, noobish jerks in PC games, and that there aren't any nice, polite, mature players on Xbox Live, but you get my point.

* Cross-platform gaming is hell, and all the complexities and effort required to run a game with a PC and a console is just not worth it for a game that's already been out for a couple of years.

Cross platforming is not required CRysis will probably use this service as will UT2007and they arent cross platform.
