Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

You forgot the Covenant AA gun called the Tyrant ;)

My personal fav too!

You'd probably shoot back if i wasn't T-bagging your dead body.

You didn't mention any of the Halo Wars additions, but I'm pretty sure everyone was aware of this anyway.

We should know better, because we are better.

Isn't the scarab associated with the afterlife in some cultures?

  • 06.28.2012 8:16 PM PDT

Stupidity, when sufficiently advanced, is indistinguishable from magic

The chopper and prowler are both brute and thus of a completely different motif, though, so you can probably leave those out. Leaving the scarab....

Scarabs have mythical significance. As for Tyrant, think 'Mythic proportions'.

Both of them fit in with the other Covie vehicles, indirectly.

It's the Chopper, AA Wraith, and Prowler that don't fit in. The Chopper was the only fun one. The other ones sucked.

So... what would best fit the Chopper? How about Reaper (as in Grim Reaper)? Then again, that sounds too similar to Mass Effect. Electrum (was used in Egypt)? Ammonia (see the similarities between this and this)?

Studying Egypt. Good times... good times.

心の中に弱い風が吹いています。

Oddly enough though the Covenant have the Seraph fighter, but then the UNSC have the Sabre and Longsword.

  • 06.28.2012 11:32 PM PDT

Am I supposed to write something funny here?

UNSC's space sinlge ships are named after swords while covies stick to the "ghost" theme...

BTW, the other Covenant walker, locust is also a bug and a spiritual thing...

Yes. All of the covenant vehicles are words for ghost

Soon to be breaking news:

US Coast Guard prepares for massive rescue mission after Iranian fleet sinks off shore. Reports say a small thunderstorm caused most of the ships to simply...fall apart.

The Covenant uses the color purple a lot. Anyone notice this?

Not anymore, pal. Don't you know Blue is the new Purple?

  • 06.29.2012 7:05 AM PDT

Well Brutes have a different mentality and I think Bungie wanted to show that.

What about Locusts?

Oh and...

Nope, it's been in my mind since after Reach came out.
Was Reach your first Halo Game?

  • 06.29.2012 9:18 AM PDT

I don't like Call of Duty or the word "Swag"

Did anyone notice that the covies were ALIENS?

  • 06.30.2012 8:12 AM PDT

Noticed it, but didn't put it that way. I suppose it could be seen as a metaphor; to the spiritually-attuned Covenant we're primitive animals who need stamping out.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

I noticed this theme once I played AOTCR.

No, what makes you say that?

Well... we've known this for about 11 years now, it has been evident ever since Halo CE:

- Bumblebee
- Pelican
- Warthog

- Ghost
- Wraith
- Banshee

You don't get to decide what 'counts', Halo Wars is officially acknowledged as canon and nothing will ever change that.
