Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

Then Trueskill put you in a match with thumbless retards..
and how do you respond?

You continue to play against them like it means something.

I'm sorry, there's competitive players with class.
Then there is trash.

You are trash.

I'm sure most of you know what this is a continuation of.

You all know what that 'line' is. And you all willingly cross it from time to time.

And then blame it on Trueskill.

Get some class.

Nah, he likes to get tazed and then thrown into solitary confinement, this is what he does when he's bored. Instead of learning a new skill, go out with friends, or god forbid, even go outside, he trolls the forums.

So if matchmaking matches me up with a bunch of people who suck you are telling me I should just quit out of the game? I would have quit over half my games then.

ME TOO!!!

That's why the quit ban is -blam!- stupid!

Trueskill is just as stupid.

Halo multiplayer sucks!

Based on campaigns

Halo 2 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo 3 > Reach/CE tied

EOS I see what you're trying to say but you can't expect people to take the game as seriously as this. The majority if players just play to have fun shooting people, regardless of the opponents skill level.

Since you can't quit, the next classy thing would be to just go easy.

But that is a concept that some people make out to be a life and death situation.... as though, they are breaking some major life rule by not playing at 120% of their capabilities at all times regardless of who the competition is.

My opponent is about 33% of me. Instead of playing at 120%...I'm dial it back to 75% power instead... Is that too much to ask?

Before the quit ban was made, I would have just quit the match. But now, you have to remain and play it out....

What do you do? Do you care only about your K/D ratio, or do you consider the enjoyment of everyone else in the room?

Member of team Master Theory.

17th Mythic Conqueror of Halo 3.
5th Mythic Conqueror of ODST.
If you would like to know more about Mythic difficulty please go to this thread. Thank you.

Please do not send me "recruitment messages" as I'm not interested in joining any groups currently.

You realise that quitting counts as a loss, right? Therefore by quitting you're just keeping your trueskill value low, leading to even more lopsided matches.

Honor rules work on PC servers because server admins can remove those who break them. But on consoles they don't work - case in point being Battlefield 3 where admins will boot for basic personal grievances or if other people in there server room are better than them. The console community (and typically the age group) is fundamentally different from those of PC games, which leads to more immaturity regardless of the player's stance on how to play the game in question.

I don't need a specialized burger; I stack BKs on my own.

Would you just smoke a Glock already?

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

You're retarded. The 1-50 did an amazing job at matching players up according to skill. It's the casual's fault that it was taken out. Now you have to deal with the repercussions.
