This is probably the most ambiguous poll title I have ever seen. What on earth do you mean by "visual improvements"?

Maybe you should re-read your title. As-is, we can't tell what you are talking about. Higher ploygon counts? Better reflections? More variety in armor? Real-time damage mapping? What?

What in my post gave the hint that I'm drunk? Please. I'd like to know. I started typing that before your post above that showed up, dumbass.

And now that you've clarified, I think I will comment.

Elite faces are so dissimilar to human faces that one would not be able to tell the difference between the models without extreamly close examination. This is possibly why the SpecOps commander was concieved with only two mandibles and green eyes. We need something that differentiates him from the generic troops, beyond his armor. It's very difficult to connect with a character that looks identical to another, even with special armor.

It's like sheep. Sheep actually have quite a bit of variation between individuals. However, unless you compare sheep side to side or have worked with sheep for a decent amount of time, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

The best way to make elite models look different would be persistant damage modeling, and having the armor of your troops in various states of wear, the exact damage determined before these troops spawn. and depending on the environment.

Why don't you just get over it? If you want to argue any further, take it to a PM, because I don't want to argue with you over a dead and moot point.

And, just to be -blam!-y, a typo is a minor typing error in spelling, punctuation, or grammar. The lack of inclusion of any decent explanation is not a typo, it's a lack of foresight.

yes but it is an error

Anyway, marines should have as much variety as Bungie can afford, both in voices and appearence. Seeing the same marine that died from a plasma blot to the forehead in an earlier level is a bit jarring.

Many of these i would like to see improvements on. But i think the biggest is te humans. They looked incredibly bad in Halo 2, that is what needs it the most.

Definately. The clothing and armor and such was alright, but the faces were atrocious when compared to the rest of the game. I get a chuckle whenever I think of the half-dozen identical marines on IAC's bridge.
