Bungie i just want to try and get a point across, i strongly beleive that MLG will help make halo 3 even bigger than what it will be.

I think that bungie need to embrace major league gaming and really focus on making halo 3 a competetively played game, MLG is getting bigger by the day and in years to come i can see MLG being as big as any sport in the world.

Bungie have the chance of being at the pinnacle of competetive gaming if they follow along the lines of halo 2, in other words dont change the gameplay its already perfect. Keep all the customiseable options, if the games fully customiseable then it can be altered to be as balanced as possible.

Obviously dont stray from the fun factor, and dont change the gameplay we still play halo2 for a reason.

P.S dont remove the battle rifle, i love it lol.

No, they cant cater to one side of the gaming community. Although it would be wise to get the take of what MLG considers fun. Some of the game types are fun because of the compevtiness. However, like any sport the majority is for recreation. Not every single player of football is a pro, they like football, they like watching pro football, they like to play football for fun. Cant cater to one side of the community, plus you cant go from a pro-type game to a causal game, but you can go from a casual game to a pro-type game

MLG consists of Elite game players who play for money, and therefore, must be extremely good.

Halo 1 and 2 was made for the less expierenced player with its auto aim put into play.

Now, try mixing MLG with players who want the game for fun

Not everyone has everyday and night to play a game, and i can bet, 95% of the halo players have never competed in a tournament. Sure the game types are fun, but they arent for everyone

MLG for the win :D
Basically make the game the same way as halo1/2 with the concept of easy to learn and hard to master, giving hardcore MLG players the chance to be able to strategize, customize, own, etc. . .

Aznbanisher, the actual game types do not matter to MLG as long as the game types are customizable. And i think the majority of people who play halo3 could handle the game without auto-aim :]

Try to play Halo for PC, since there is no AA, and youll see how hard it is with lag.

We shall do the same thing we have always done - we will make a game that we think is fun and hope everyone else likes it. So far, we've been pretty successful at that, so I think we'll be okay. And, if the anybody doesn't like the results (like the MLG, or anybody else), they can just play Halo 1 or Halo 2. We really don't take it personally if you like one game better than the other, like some of you guys seem to.

MLG, KSI and other "organizations" ruined the atmosphere of Halo 2 on live by making people think that "skill" was everything. What happened to having a good game? What happened to sportsmanship?

Oh, they still exist, but like any online game, there is always trash-talk and all that. No one knows who you are behind that name, so you can do anything you want

Bungie will probably water down the gameplay even more than they did from Halo CE to Halo 2 to get an even more idiots to buy Halo 3. It really is a shame that the entirety of Bungie has forgotten what makes Halo multiplayer so great.

The thing about Halo multi player is that it fits any playstyle. The ablitiy to create custom games is great, so people can play what they want, with who they want

If Team Swat became ranked, would there still be no shields?

Amazing!

Halo 3 will not be revolved around anything related to MLG. Stop being stupid.

Down, down to hell and say that I sent you there...

I came into the world with my legs forward and a woman cried "he was born with teeth!"

"I had no father I am like my father...I had no brother I am like my brother...And this word, "love" which old farts call divine be resident in men like you -blam!-. But not in me, I am my mother-blam!- self, alone."

You Are an Idiot

If MLG can't adapt to Halo 3 then why should Halo 3 adapt to MLG?

Its amazing that a company that depends on its customers buying its products has such an ego that it has no intentions of listening to its fans. News flash, we can't just play Halo:CE, cuz you never made it live enabled. And please don't bring up XBC, cuz it doesn't even compare.

Now watch as i get banned for my opinion

Its funny because 99% of the Population wouldnt Trash talk Person to Person. Everyone that Talks Trash and says all that big shot stuff are just Worthless people hiding behind a Video game and trying to make themselfs feel good by Putting other people down with Pitiful Insults like " Your Mom" or Racial Slurs even if your not of that Ethnic Group.

MLG is a minority in the gaming community. If all MLG Pros along with hardcore MLG enthusiasts boycotted Halo 3, it would barely make a dent in the sales. If the game is fun, then people will buy it.

Not listening to fans can be detrimental, but going along with the demands of a small, outspoken percentage can be even worse.

As for Halo on XBL, I'll quote Phrost (who, as far as I can tell, is an avid fan of MLG like yourself):

no offense, but i never said i liked MLG. It was just a broad statement about the attitude i've seen from many Bungie staff about what fans like and dis-like in their games. I do prefer Halo:CE, but also like halo 2. Obviously, H2 has many issues, and some have been addressed while others are just something we'll have to live with. In his post, he wasn't just saying MLG, he was saying anyone that doesn't like their game can play the previous ones, which is a bold statement for their amount of customer service and appreciation. Also, LAN? Not the same as LIVE, everyone knows it, and so this should not be mentioned as a substitute when talking about LIVE. Besides, not everyone knows a group of people who they can just " get a LAN party going"

I don't know, I just hope people care less about rank and more about having good sportsmanship and becoming good at the game, not for anything else but to own your friends at it.

MLG doesn't necissarily wan't Bungie to make the game just how they want it. They wan't a few things that make the game too easy to change.

Someone said (don't remember who) that MLG made the Halo experience bad for everyone. That isn't true. Someone else (forgot who) said there are people that hide behind the fact that it is a video game and no one knows what they are really like. The people that hide behind the fact are the ones that make the experience bad.

As for what happened to playing for fun, MLG play to get money and community recognition, this is true, but the only reason they started playing Halo was because it was fun. They still play it for fun, they just have extra benifites.

As long as Bungie keeps the ability to make your own game types, MLG should be happy. But if for some dumb reason the majority of MLG boycotts Halo 3, they are just missing a kick a$$ game.

Also, for the record, I play MLG. Not entirely for the money or community respect, but because it is fun to play, although people take it too seriously.
