A poll on what the d-pad should do, if yours isn't listed then talk about it here. And I don't care if this has been done, either do it or not. Please dont point a threads repeation over, it starts dumb fights that arent necessary.

Maybe it could be like this:

Up on the directional pad can be a sprint. Hold it down and it let's you sprint forward, but taking away your ability to shoot or make hard turn.

Down can be commands for Campaign. Hold it down and choose a command using the right-analog stick. While holding it down, you cannot turn. The commands could be Attack, Cover Me, Follow, and Wait. (Although I doubt Halo would need this feature). Down for multiplayer could just be proximity voice.

Left and Right on the directional pad could let you lean to the left or right.

I could care less if they put this in though.

Really, I didn't give thought to which direction is which but this is what I'd want.

1.) Headlamp
2.) Sprint
3.) Attatch to wall (Lean out, the direction left or right depends on your orientation)
4.) Activate/Deactivate Cloak

Personally, one thing that drove me nuts about playing the Arbiter was his stealth system. It was horribly implemented. If you only wanted to do a quick SWAT turn you used your entire stealth bar and had to wait for it thirty seconds for it to renew. That was frustrating. I'd love to be able to shut if off after the SWAT turn when I still have 80% left instead of watching the thing drain away while I peek around the corner. (Note, unlike many of you I occasionally like the challenge of moving through an Arbiter level as a ghost, not being seen. It's more difficult then shooting your way through and takes a lot of skill)

Secondly, this could make for some awesome "phantoms" style game types. Since your stealth is a finite ability you'd have to be more judicial about when to use it for maximum effect. People would be ghosting in and out... the battle's would be a rush. Sneak as close as you can with the bomb, then stealth before you rush in to plant it!
