I use a jetpack in every situation I can, because I find it the most versatile of tools.
When you do not have a jetpack, your mobility is limited to the horizontal plane. Your vertical movement is limited by what you can jump, climb, run up, or fall from. It is limited and tactically inferiour.
When I have a jetpack, this third degree of movement becomes mine, and while it is not as unlimited as one's ability to run, it is more than anyone else has. My movement and pathing takes a tactical shift for the better - I can get anywhere faster and easier, and sometimes, I can get places nobody else can.
It serves as a defensive mechanism for avoiding danger. Moving simultaneously in three dimensions instead of two distances me from hazards like grenades, and makes me harder to hit with those who cannot track targets or account for range effectively.
It also serves well as a tactical tool - people don't tend to look up much, and most people seem to have an inherent inability to determine where fire is coming from - so when that fire is coming from a direction they are not accustomed to checking, they are dead, metaphorically or literally, before they can even return fire.
Your inability to master the jetpack, to account for other's skillful usage of it, and your cry to have this vehicle against which you have no counter removed from the game proves something. You are inferiour in your ability to plan and fight, to adapt and improvise. There are many above me, but I am above you, for my mastery of the art that is applied movement in the third dimension.
Quod erat demonstrandum, ita non opprimere mea manu.
Edit:
If it affects your opinion of me, the only places I play where jetpacks are an option are playlists like Invasion. I don't play as much as I used to, so I don't know exactly what playlists there are that permit them.
