After quite a long hiatus (and no Internet for hours), I took to The Library on Heroic to finish my most recent playthrough.

And goddamn it is difficult. Recent games have really spoiled me. The Flood is slapping me around like I'm its -blam!-.

No man, that's how you're meant to react to the level "Two Betrayals".

There was only 2 Flood's with rockets; TB had a dozen. Even with the overwhelming nature of the flood in that level, there aren't any elites.

This.

The Library's just a pain. Two Betrayals is punishment.

The Library's more tedious in my opinion. It's just a matter of patience and knowing when to fight and when to charge through. A few grenades can stall the Flood long enough to get away although the locked doors near the end can really prove painful.

Two Betrayals...i don't recall having too much difficulty with rocket Flood apart from being caught off guard by the odd one that pops up round the corner and suicides...

Cheap tactic..but brilliant -.-

Are you guys kidding? Two Betrayals is Best Betrayals. So many different types of combat, three-way fights, vehicular mayhem...and I like fighting Elites, until Legendary at least.

The worst is when Flood jump down the big hallways and then jump out behind you. Kill the ones in front and more jump down. Shooting and melees and biggles exploding from all sides. I've only died in TB once compared to like 10 in TL.

Your 'beliefs' mean less than dick to me.

TB is fun it's definitely hard, at times to the point of being cheap. When I play CEA I always play with fog and boom on (I'll work my way up to the others), and TB is the one with highest spike in difficulty as opposed to normal play. But an honorable mention goes to Keyes, that sniping section with all the carrier forms is literally a minefield w/ boom on.

Two betrayals is one of my favourite levels in CE, don't get me wrong, and the reason it was fun was because some parts were so difficult in that it took me five attempts to get past them. Destroying the second pulse generator, going down into the caves where several rocket flood attempt to shoot your banshee, that Zealot one of the parallel sky bridges, and the other 1 million flood crowded on the other.

TB caused me to mix things up a lot to compensate for the different areas, different forms of combat (air, vehicle, foot), and different enemies. The Library has the same bland areas were you could prevent the enemy from surrounding you if you moved to one of the several choke points in the level.

For me, TB was alright. But the caves. Oh god the caves. Must've taken me 45 minutes and 15 attempts to finally open the door.

If you're talking about the part with the rocket flood, just fly past them. So much easier. If you get stuck inside the cavern, the trick is to not charge at the mobs of Flood.

You could always setup a blockade in advance.

This, especially doing the Leave it Where it Lay achievement. It took me 2 days to finish the segment after the 2nd pulse generator because the level is so big and checkpoints don't retrigger.

Yeah TB is one of the linear campaign missions of CE. I used to love this level but after my time with the Zealot, lack of checkpoints, and on Legendary, I see it as a predecessor of H2/H3/Reach campaign missions.

Games I like:,
Half-Minute Hero
MBU
Portal
Halo 3 is the best Halo ever
Maps I like: Turf, Avalanche, Pylon, Sandbox, Breakpoint and many more.

I hate CEA's achievements regarding TB and TL, as they are impossiblly difficult.

Look out of the little guys is evil; it's nearly impossible on Solo. Co-op and having one guy kill them all is more like cop-out. Still, trying this achievement on Solo gave me pain. I tried bringing a Banshee into that room but it ended up damaged so I was getting blown up every time.

CEA's achievements were tough, but doable for me. Anyone stuck, PM me. Am far from a Halo master, but, I really liked what they did. 343 has my thumbs up for future endeavors...their achievements really made me think and adjust my normal game.
