Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

Bungie day is just around the corner, and the community is ravenous for information. I may have just found something to quell your hunger.

On Bungie's twitter account I noticed a reply that, while related to Bungie Day, seemed rather insignificant. After taking a second look, it actually appeared to be a subtle hint of something that might happen on Bungie Day. Screenshot of Post

The post states:

Bungie Day is immune to darkness. It's light will shine, all on its own.

Judging from this post, we can determine that Darkness will temporarily be lifted on Bungie Day. This is not the typical Bungie Day activity where they play games with the community online. Darkness is used to refer to hiding all new videogame info from non-employees. This means the hint is related to new videogame info. And what have we been expecting info on for a while?

I believe we are looking at a hint to the supposed announcement of Destiny. (Or possibly something from Aerospace)

What do you think Community?

Sounds like all the cryptic crap they've been saying.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

What it appears to mean is that Bungie day is not affected by the darkness. This means that even though Bungie is dark they will continue to celebrate Bungie day with the community. It (probably) does not mean that they will be sharing any of their new project with us.

This. I wouldn't get too excited either. What seems like great evidence for Destiny eventually turns in to absolutely nothing.

It would be just like Bungie to leave a subtle hint like this. Or maybe whoever controls the twitter account had a lapse of memory and forot they should not post about Bungie Day.

Perhaps, but no info has really been released on that. It would be awesome though.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I want to see the Destiny Logo shining bright and proud on the front page when I log in on Bungie Day.

In the words of Uncle Ben to Peter Parker "With great power, comes great responsibility." BUNGiE has been doing well with responsiblity about not telling us any information about the next big thing, not even a sliver. I think you are looking in things a little too much.

Don't nitpick every single little thing you read or otherwise you may be disappointed. It's best to leave this alone and go into BUNGiE Day with the outlook of hanging out with an awesome community and game developers in the thralls of video game badassness.

See you on the battlefield.

Key

I think that's just a special way of saying that they're not announcing anything. If "it's light will shine, all on its own" then that's not the light of Destiny, that's just the light of Bungie Day.

As fans of BUNGIE, it's practically in the job description to wildly speculate. I obviously can never fully expect this, but it is fun to look for hints of what is to come.

Yes, and if you feel I was admonishing you for doing so then I apologize as it wasn't my intention. I feel that there appropriate times for appropriate actions with reason fueling the action. It's fun to speculate, sometimes I myself am caught doing so, but when people start to complain about what they thought something was turns out to be wrong...nine times out of ten they will whine, piss, and moan. I just don't want to see that happen in yet another thread.

OT: There may be hope that BUNGiE might just lift the wool over our eyes and let us see a glimmer of tru7h of the carnage to come. BUNGiE, I feel, has something up their sleeves this coming BUNGiE Day and it might just rock our worlds like Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I agree. If they did release anything, it would be something barely noticeable, but liable to cause mass specualtion. In reality, Bungie Day is the perfect marketing plan. They can build up a ton of hype and use that to keep their older fan base from fading away while gaining new fans. Not releasing anything would be bad for both them and us. We can always hope though.
