And if its a dedicated server, then you simply dont route to other players. Your route to the server only.Wrong. The reason you see another player on your screen, they can move, you can shoot them, etc., is because their data is being routed through the server to your end. Not all of it, but most of it. If it was going to the server only, you would see no other players on your screen, only the server would, and that's a server so that would just have their current locations and actions.
If no-one says they dont want something, bungie might do it. But if you make yourself heard, then theres a chance they take it into consideration.That's true, especially now that we have been assured that some people are actually reading this. It's just that it really doesn't seem to be a problem here because they gave it out that there will be dedicated servers. However, if they implement Match Making into Halo 2 for the PC, that is going to get interesting (which I really hope doesn't happen). Unless Bungie/Microsoft is going to provide a few hundred servers for hosting the games, we are going to get stuck with peer-to-peer connections. THAT cannot be helped.
