My question is pretty simple: If 2525 was Humanities' first contact with Extraterrestrial beings [The Covenant] where do all the claims of UFO sightings and Alien abductions fit into the spectrum?

I'm bored and I've been watching the x-Files, but I got to thinking on this and some of the Halo universe's more deeply philosophical points and figured this might make for an interesting topic, given that almost everything else has been analysed already.

Discuss! I might not respond for a while [Doctors Appointment!]
so if it gets enough attention, discuss freely!

The Committee of Minds for Security decided to -blam!- with people and make them see hallucinations of aliens in order to prepare them for First Contact.

I cap fools.

X Files is an epic show. It all goes downhill when Doggett shows up though...

OT: The Covenant might not be the only alien race(s) out there.

Wasn't the Microwave invented right after The Roswell Incident?

Also, Slip Space drives weren't invented then so I guess Aliens that were much more fearsome than the Forerunners and Covenant came to numerous planets and abducted cows.

Aliens that could...

Go to different Galaxies using Mass Relay devices.

Well, in the books, the first time the covenant met humans was 2525 (this was explained in Contact Harvest), so there was no previous abduction/study of humans (maybe during the war).

Basically, the first ever contact (acknowledged by the Prophet of Regret in aforementioned halo novel) was when a Brute Ship found Harvest (they failed, big time).

Well, technically, Humanities first contact was a few hundred thousand years ago [In the extended Halo mythos] but what I'm more curious about is what happened to all the little grey aliens and flying saucers of past/present.

I'm looking into this way too much, but it's an aspect of the Halo universe I'd never really contemplated up until recently. I really doubt that when Bungie created the universe [Halo universe, I should clarify :D ] that ufos and little green men were the prime antagonists they had in mind, but all the same.

I wonder where, if at all, Greys and Ufos could possibly fit into the Halo Universe [?]
