My favorite addition in Reach was running. Ever since the Halo came to Xboxes, I wanted something like this. Does anyone know if it will return in Halo 4? I don't think I can play again without it

Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

Do you know the difference between running and sprinting?

You can run in every Halo game.

You can sprint in Reach and Halo 4

agreed, please god don't put in armor abilities

"Before you insult someone, try walking a mile in their shoes. This way, when you insult them, you are a mile away and have their shoes."

Halo 4 has running for every players as a default. You can choose an armor ability on top of it.

No difference. You can only run in Reach and 4

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

Yeah, running is confirmed in Halo 4.

You might also be pleased to know that the ability to shoot is also confirmed. Remember, it's the right trigger, not the left.

Yes, jumping was also confirmed.

Yes there is a difference. You don't walk in CE/2/3 do you? No, you're running, because you are moving too fast to be walking. Sprinting is running faster for a short time, which is what the AA Sprint does.

I intend to live forever, or die trying,

so far, so good.

You always have the ability to run.

But you can only "Sprint" for about 7 seconds.

Which is not very long for a super soldier gentically engineered.

Where in BF3 I can run for as long as I want.

You mean sprinting. Yes it's in Halo 4, it's no longer an Armor Ability instead you always have it, and you sprint faster than Reach's sprint, but when you are under attack while sprinting then you become slower than Reach's sprinting.

To be honest, the "running" in previous games was more of a fast jog :/

STFU noob

On topic, yes, it's permanent, as in you always have it. You don't need to pick it up. I don't like AA's, but I always loved sprint. Reach FTW
