Subject: I just now realized how frustrating Sprint is

the gun pointed at the head of the universe

Hahaha, it's pretty funny when someone sprints away from you to stay alive, and then you.... ENGAGE SPRINT.

It's like playing tag that way, which is more fun in my opinion.

Yeah, I hate it when people move slightly faster for short periods of time. It's like sprint benefits the player who uses it, and in some situations, more than other armor abilities would. It's as if Halo Reach is a complex and dynamic game based on tactics and strategy, not only the ability to point and click.
Reach is neither dynamic or strategic. It's obvious you've never played a game that actually does fit that description.

<(-_-)> Teh mokey is not amused

What ability do you use bro? Can't you just sprint after them?

That's implying that chasing is a viable option.

Yup! And just to think that poor Armor Lock was the first to be beaten for its "annoying" qualities.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

That will be great, except in campaign when you're trying to go through the level fast, and suddenly the Forerunner equivalent to skirmishers appear.

OT: I also hate the people whose weapon of destruction is running away. Cowards.

I'm new to competitive Halo and Halo itself (Reach being my first video game ever actually). Message me if you want to play;

Reach: MLG, Arena, Doubles, BTB and customs.
Halo 3: Ranked MM and customs.

Also I have every Halo title and all of its DLC on the Xbox 360.

It's better than other AA's.

And it makes sense to get to cover if your one shot...

They're not cowards, they just take what the game gives them. Blame the devs for being short-sighted fools who wear their pants on their head.

No, in Halo 4 they'll be sprinting and thrusting and camoing and looking thru walls.

Enjoy it while you can.

I dont see why one shouldn't be allowed to flee from combat, why be forced to fight a fight that you know you would lose just because you became visible on the other person's screen?

Reach is neither dynamic or strategic.

Perhaps the reason why you belief this, is that you have never tried using strategy (beyond camping, perhaps). And every time someone has killed you or survived a battle with you for any reason other than their ability to point and click with none other than the DMR, you blame it on the video game developers, instead of really figuring out why you lost. It seems the reason why most gamers, like you, don't like Halo Reach, is because the game is dynamic.

Why even bother, really?
I rage.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

This is nothing but accusations. I'm not a great player, and no I don't blame all my deaths on the game. I'm not Bookshelf. So try again.

I love how you haven't actually supported your stance that Reach is dynamic, either. Because it isn't. The vast majority of games on any given map play much the same way. You have very little freedom in how you can approach the map, so you get funneled into a few select strategies which get played out over and over and over again. That's not dynamic.

Halo CE is a dynamic, strategic game. Reach is mind-numbing slop. Un-stick Sage Merrill's nuts from your chin and look at the big picture, objectively. Please.

And in Halo 4, you'll have a lightshield, and an evade type ability to replace the running away with sprint.

I admit my post was accusing. Though, I don't think it was really directed at you.

Each weapon has it's own place, where it works the best of all other weapons. Each armor ability has a place, where it works better than all other armor abilities. Each map is made with detail, you aren't limited to a single path, and no path is the best (you need to understand where your enemy is and where to go). Each player is different, they prefer different maps, weapons, armor abilities, have a different ability to point and click, they are a different challenge. How is this not dynamic? What would you do to make the game dynamic?

Some games feel like they play out similarly. But many times, I feel like I'm in a situation that I have never been in. And sometimes, the encounter ends in a most unpredictable way. Haven't you ever done something, on Reach, that you would of never imagined happening? I have.

Sprint is not required to retreat.
