What part of them does this smell originate from?
You knew what it was immediately didn't you.
You'd be surprised.
I often have to field complaints about abnormal feminine odors in the ER. And part of a good female pelvic exam includes noting the odor during the exam. In fact, I've unfortunately done so many that I can typically guess the diagnosis off of the odor before I get any test back. I'd say I'm about 75% accurate.
As a general rule,
Rotten fish/fishy: Bacterial Vaginosis
Spoiled Milk: Yeast
Dead animal/rotten meat: Retained -blam!-
Bad BO: Poor hygiene or Trichomoniasis
Old festering abscess: GC and/or chlamydia
Damned -blam!- filter.
My -blam!- was the word used to describe a bullet shaped cotton device used by women to help control menstrual bleeding that in inserted in their female reproductive organs.
