See the rapist.
I don't like rap.

*facepalm*

From 12 AM PST to 1 AM PST, all of the mods turn a blind eye on the Flood and for one hour every night unmoderated discussion and posting can occur. Any posts made within that one hour block cannot be the reason for a ban, but a post at 1:01 AM PST can be the reason for a ban.

I think this is a good idea. Discuss.

As opposed to sixteen unmoderated hours every day?

The true Flood community is stifled by rules and moderation

I really don't think this is, IMO. That place is a mess as it is so the last thing we need is for the mess to become 'unsupervised'. That said, I don't really use the flood as frequently as I use the Bungie Community forums.

Well, there is that as well.

Jack of all trades, master of none.

Because the flood doesn't have enough trolls in it as it is.

I'm a stubborn guy. I love to argue my opinion, but unlike others, I'll try to see your side of the problem. I'm a triathlete, with a very heavy empephis on the swimming bit. Also, don't hate on the ~Quinton~ at the end of my posts. Why are you still reading this? #creeper #hashtagcashmoney for hashtaging on Bungie.net

As an avid user of the Flood, I am against this idea. Do you know how hard it is to find or start a thread that has discussion value and is actually interesting? Yeah it is hard. This one hour of no mod, would turn into hell hour. The mods would have so much cleaning up to do.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I don't believe making any forum un-moderated for any amount of time is a good idea. What would your idea even accomplish besides an increase of users breaking the forum rules without consequence?

That's a terrible idea.

We already have things that leak through, anyways.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

That would be chaos.
No.

One other thing. This would spread like wildfire across the Internet.

"Hai guiesss gu355 whAt?!??!"
"wat"
"BuNgiE.neT h4s a n0 m0d hour"
"LOLOLOLOLOLOLROFLCOPTER lets dump NSFW stuff and share all of our cheese pizza with each other"
"okayssss"

That would truly be horrible.

I've found that the best forums are the ones with little to no moderation.

They can't sleep, the mods are tied to chairs in Urk's mother's basement, being forced to moderate the forums, or they get beaten with a wet noodle.

I am a Floodian

A better change would be allowing specifically religious and political discussion for an hour. At least make it an hour that could actually serve some kind of a point.

No. You can't talk about all you want to talk about, post whatever you want to post, and say all that you want to say. Get over it.

I don't think he was actually being serious... I'm pretty sure he was just throwing the idea out there for conversation.

What? Got something against Yetis?

That's what happens if you go on at 2-3 in the morning some nights. It really doesn't change too much.
But I suppose if people knew beforehand when the mods weren't on... -blam!- would go down.

  • 07.06.2012 10:07 AM PDT

Just because less people are on, doesn't mean they should be allowed to break the rules.
