My account, a week ago was temporarily banned from earnning credits.I dont wish to dispute the ban but i would like to know a time limit for the ban cause from what i heard its only supposed to last 12 to 24 hours.

It can actually be from 24 hours - 2 weeks.

I'm new to competitive Halo and Halo itself (Reach being my first video game ever actually). Message me if you want to play;

Reach: MLG, Arena, Doubles, BTB and customs.
Halo 3: Ranked MM and customs.

Also I have every Halo title and all of its DLC on the Xbox 360.

Nope. To quote myself again:

Credit bans (for AFKing) are usually 24 hours for first offense, and a week for almost all subsequent offenses. 2 week and 1 month are the less common bans, usually limited to personal bans, ban waves, and credit resets.

For reference, the messages it displays on your console are

24 hours or 1 week: "You have been temporarily banned from earning credits."

2 week: "You have been temporarily banned from earning credits for 2 weeks."

1 month: "You have been temporarily banned from earning credits for 1 month."


Since someone asking how long their ban obviously saw the only message that is open to interpretation, there's no way to infer that he would have a 2 week ban like you say.
