yet sometimes people still manage to add a reply or two afterwards. Earlier in the Flood I tried replying to a thread but when I hit submit it was already locked so fine, 5 minutes later the same thread is bumped and has 3 added replies from non ninjas. Just a curious thing I noticed, anybody got any ideas why this happens?

Like they say above me, someone already sent in the post before the lock. It happens sometimes, because there can be a small delay between the sending of a post, and the clicking of "submit."

I was thinking that, but I ruled it out in my head because my reply wasn't sent through yet few minutes later others did. I guess it was just a very long delay

There are also multiple servers which Bungie.net runs on that are not all simultaneously updated, so although the posts might already be submitted and be visible to some people, the server that you were directed to on your last refresh, may not have updated yet.

That's probably it. Or the Mods just don't like you, which could very well be the case, they don't really like people.

Did you know the Mods here don't have souls? True fact.

Key

I used to do it a lot to threads in the Septagon.

I got lots of PMs asking how to do it. It's just that they hit reply before it was locked, and hit post after it was locked.

Because they hit reply before the thread was locked.
No, it's not that at all.

Bungie.net is held on several servers. I've heard around 7-9. When we lock a thread, it sometimes takes the servers a while to notice the change, which is why a few replies still get in.
