If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Okay, before the slurs and the ridicule because you're oblivious to my post, allow me to say that I'm all for this donation for kids to have entertainment in their time at the hospital.

But, couldn't we have done something better?

Like, donations to The Red Cross?

Entertainment seems sort of silly IMO, not a high percentage of children will know what to do with their device. Toddlers won't, and people in too much stress won't be able to.

Plus children will need to get rest, and will want to out of the hospital right after they're cleared to go. So we're giving kids free I-Pads (not bad).

Again, I'm not against this whole campaign, I do support it, but the money raised from the store could have gone to something better.

/Rant.

I'm sorry if I've offended any of you, I didn't mean to, and I still do support this cause.

I don't know about you guys, but I find it very hard to complain about charity.

I'm comparing it to the other more impacting charities.

It's still a great thing to do, though.

Any charity makes an impact.

I must say it's better than doing nothing. That there is some way to help people.

I'm fully aware, but that isn't what I was trying to counter.

Of course it's better than doing nothing, nobody will disagree on that.

I just feel the money could have gone to something more impacting.

Not to sound bitter, but if someone wanted to donate to the Red Cross, why don't they donate to the Red Cross?

And I find it silly to compare the charaties to each other, let alone find one "better".

Okay. What would you say is better than helping children to pass the time to get out of the hospital with the discomfort of staying there?

I'd say it's a worthy cause. Foundations that improve the quality of life are just as important as foundations who try to cure diseases or things of similar fashion.

I do donate to the Red Cross, but I'm talking about all of the money that will be raised with the Bungie.net store and what that could do.

Charities have different purposes, obviously, none are "bad", but some impact people more than others do.

Helping starving children...

The Red Cross covers a wide area of aspects.

True, but if we put all our efforts into one cause, what about the others?

The Bungie Foundation might not be saving lives at every disaster, nor is it finding cures for deadly diseases, but it is improving the quality of life amoung it's recipients, and that is the most important thing to look at.

It could be that they do it because it is in their best interests or that is there decision as a company, but who are we to judge whether their cause is worth less than another?

Personally, as a volunteer of youth programs, I find the Bungie Foundation to be nothing short of an amazing charity that tackles one of the most important topics today, the children.

But that doesn't mean that I think the Bungie Foundation is more imortant than other orginizations like the Red Cross. I just think we shouldn't be taking one over the other. They are both serve an important cause, and that is something that should be praised, not thought over.

Can't argue about that.. but this is still something it's helping people, that is more than enough, as long as someone does something to help there is a lot of good coming out of it....

Yes, it has a very positive impact.

Yes, it's a great foundation.

Yes, others charities don't go into this field as much.

All I can say is that it's not as essential as some other charities.

Bye.

I believe it's priority is to help seriously ill children in hospital for months at a time with chronic illness to have a little fun. An iPad is a welcome break from sitting in a room all day and looking out the window because you've played with all the toys already.

I know that The Red Cross and other similar charities do great work but I don't see what's wrong with helping your local community.

Kindness starts at home.
