Seems like Bungie's next game involves the moon of some sort.

Moon?

Old thread

This new photo shows another picture of the seventh column representing the moon. What may this symbolize? Each of the New factions one must pledge allegiance to maybe the different moon colonies.

Thoughts?

It's going to be on more than one planetary body, that's for sure. And the glimpses we caught on the 'O brave new world' video shows it is definitely not Earths moon. I doubt such a shallow and boring place would be the focus of Destiny. I'm still unsure of the factions however... Possible you're a mercenary?

Actually OP: take a look at this pre-destiny announcement/leak poster from ODST

Note the Earth is fully rendered, whereas the Moon is highlighted brightly?

A tosser is the same as a wanker. To toss oneself off is to fondle the trouser weasel.

Very interesting and persuading evidence for this theory.

Have you seen the new factions?

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

The underlined part is pretty much what I thought first, but maybe they have it terraformed?
Although, from what I know, the moon is a bit to small to keep an atmosphere.

I'm guessing the moon is the first step towards Destiny. Something along the lines of an ancient space-faring civilization placing a portal/means to travel somewhere, on the moon. Mankind would therefore first have to prove itself, by being able to reach the moon.

Every new game (Destiny 2,3,4) would be the next step. And the expansions would comet.. I stopped there, cause I don't know where I was heading..

But yeah, that's just an idea...

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I do believe that the moon would have a big role to play in Bungie's new game. I wouldn't mind seeing factions fighting on the moon.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Dead Orbit could hint at a failed moon base. Maybe they were survivors of some kind of incident who formed a society. Or maybe they were stranded there.

Anyone see a link in manifest destiny and destiny? Maybe that's kinda what Bungie means.

Maybe you could draw some parallels from this.

I like turtles oh and Screenshots

This is why bungie has such a huge fan base, they never tell their secrets.

If anyone wants to get together and play some Marathon Durandal on the xbox contact me and we can work something out.

I really want to know more about the dead orbit faction, sounds awesome.

That's what it seems like. Only each of these factions is working against each other.

Maybe they're simply using Earth to represent a garden world and it's moon? They don't want to spoil anything after all.
