Someone go on google space and try and put in coordinates.
To what? Sometimes you guys go way overboard and this is an example of that situation. You have no evidence that would lead you assume that the binary code leads to coordinates. Even if they did match how coordinates are set up, do you really think Bungie would have you go on some easter egg hunt across the web?

It's good to think outside of the box to find you answers, but not when they're obviously false. Think creatively, but remain skeptical.

Edit: Thought he wrote Google Earth. Obviously he's making some stupid joke.

- Dragon Ball/Z/GT and it's merchandise are awesome.
- All "abriged" parodies are hilarious.
- Humanity, as a whole, is stupid.
- I have asperger's syndrome
- This is the best used 20 seconds of your life
- Official helper to the Halo: Reach - The Armor You'll Be Wearing This Fall! Thread

Why was this thread made?

Why not just post in the thread they figured what the symbols were?

Or the thread about it I made in the universe fourm?

I realize the last bit is a bit selfish, but still no need to have more than one thread per board, if not accross the whole site.

Useful translation from the other thread:Posted by: freefall722
Yeah I translated your translation - using the descriptions in that section.

The path(Way) to reconciliation(Conjunction) is lost(Loss). Evil(Red) Triumphs(Lesser Fortune). Happiness(Joy) is delayed(Prison).

CrazySnipe had an interesting variation on that thread too:

The path to reconciliation is lost. The evil triumph over happiness is delayed.

So depending on how you read it evil already has triumphed or is delayed in its triumph. (all depends on the punctuation)

Their Halo 2 campaign had people all across the country doing things like waiting in certain areas, answering random telephones that ring at specific times at specific locations. So yeah... it is something they would do.

So, translated literally, it's "The Way, The Conjunction, Lost, The Lesser Fortune, Red, Joy, The Prison."

By comparing the symbols on Bnet to these translations, ^I get this.

The Way - The first level where you learn the basics and get started in your path into the story.

The Conjunction- A Crossroads area where you choose a side and stick with it throughout the entire campaign.

Lost- Seeing how you've taken a side you feel lost on what to do and who to really trust, OR it just means you're freakin' lost and must survive.

The Lesser Fortune- The protagonist plays through the level and understands what the conflict has done to both sides, seeing the lesser fortunes of what war can bring.

Red- Alot of fighting in this level. Many side characters will die and you'll understand that the conflict is not all what it's cut out to be.

Joy- You've completed your mission throughout the campaign and have reached peace. That is until the side you're on apprehends you and you're betrayed by that you thought were your allies.

The Prison- Either figuratively you're stuck in a prison of mind and the game ends with you hopelessly being lost forever (insanity) or you're in a Prison and you break out to reach freedom.

Yeah...thats what I got from that.

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

- "Cross of Iron"

Interesting...

Burn Bright, Burn Blue. Become one of KOGU, the Fire of Pride!

Looking at the contract, and this, I want to say that each geomantic symbol represents the title of a game in the Destiny series. 3 games, 3 'expansions,' and Marathon 4. It all makes sense.

They've done stuff like that before...
For Halo 3 and ODST? No way. How has your search gone? Found anything? Or are you going to not post when it turns out that you were on a false lead?

Besides, if you don't remain skeptical to some of the more out of the box, crazier ideas then you get stuff like people adjusting the brightness and contrast of imagery to find stuff that's not there, people believing that all seven people need to be collected to find out what's happening, or that the geomantic symbols are coordinates. And then you get people blatantly accepting these ideas because they can't step away for a second and think hey, maybe this doesn't mean what I thought it meant.

I'm just saying, calm down and don't let your excitement cloud your judgement.

I feel like the phrase "correlation does not imply causation" is relevant here. Obviously not literally, but just because Bungie did something before does not imply they're doing it now. They did countdowns before, does that mean we should take every countdown website that has a Bungie reference seriously? Obviously not.

Exercise rational thinking instead of getting swept up in the moment and using directional thinking.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Okay, so we have all this info, what do we do with it?

I feel like this is the last mystery on Bungie day and we must solve it. I mean, we found the actual symbols and what they mean, but we didn't find a hidden meaning....we must be missing something.

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

I -blam!- you not, all of their Binary counterparts (the four digit ones) come out to spaces. Blank spaces.

1111 0110 1010 1100 0100 1000 1001
[space] - [space] - [space] - [space] - [space] - [space] - [space]

Why are you trying to convert to text?

1111 0110 1010 1100 0100 1000 1001

15, 6, 10, 12, 4, 8, 9

Could it be an IP address?
something like 15.610.12.489 ?

Wait, didn't Bungie say they like playing Battlefield or something?
Someone should try entering that into Battlefield to see if they can join if that's a server, if you catch my drift.

Okay, so we have all this info, what do we do with it?

Well... the CONJUNCTION is relevant to all of it. It is to do with Lunar. Because the freaking images we have seen do look like the moon, right?

And then like, five factions... five planets... Would be very hard to guess which one is from where... or what ever, but one thing is for sure... I think the major plot is something to do with Lunar, and big discovery, and a Battle of Five Armies...
