I know I'm going to be one of the first to say it (and most likely called a d-bag for doing so), but I find it a little stupid that this year's Bungie Day was based around seven people. I mean, there is quite literally nothing else for the community. Oh, and avatars/desktops and t-shirts (THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR) are pretty lame. They're all just a bunch of clean-cut, easy to make logos that we've been seeing for well over a year now.

Way to go Bungie. You failed your most important day, yet again.

Leave. Seriously no one wants you here if you are going to act like a complete child.

Congrats to all the winners!

I hope they allow the winners to shoot film of the studio. Although they probably won't. Or if they do Bungie will probably make them wait to release until the new game is announced.

Happy Bunige Day!

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

This year's Bungie Day only sucks when you compare it to last year's. Comparing it to the other's, I think it's pretty nice.

I would imagine Bungie will be paying for their plane ticket to come to their Studio too!

Come on now. It wasn't that bad. The shirts and scout books are pretty cool, and the 3 graphics they released are nice. You're probally just upset that you aren't One of Seven, which is understandable, we all are. But that anger, jealousy and rankling will pass. It's not like Bungie had a wide array of options for this years Bungie Day; they can't hold any special event or giveaway in the games anymore (I don't think) but they did their best. :/

Thanks Bungie for being so generous again, I'll certainly be buying more! Happy Bungie Day everybody! ^_^

EDIT: Remember, all proceeds from sales up until the 21st go to charity. It helps fund the Bungie Foundation, which is simply wonderful!

Actually, I'm glad I'm not One of Seven, and for one reason only: I wouldn't be able to fly out there. I simply don't have the money. And, if I was one of the people, I would feel even angrier that I'm on the cusp of actually being able to meet Bungie.

I suppose the one good thing Bungie has done is made the profits of their sales go to charity. Besides that, they've failed. Like last year.
Except I'd imagine the trip to Bungie is on them, which is why they're contacting the winners beforehand.

Acting like a complete child? Oh the lulz.

I see you joined back in '10. That marks the fact that you never got to enjoy great days, like B-Day '07 and B-Day '09.

B-Day '09 was, in my opinion, the greatest B-Day. Bungie was actually involved, throughout the day, and the people playing felt like they were really involved. When you took breaks to get on the website, you saw people crazing in the Septagon, the Halo 3 forum crazing (and yelling) over the Bungie vs. World playlist (at one point, there was over 180,000 people in the single playlist).

I know that Bungie no longer owns Halo, so they can't do this. But what could they have done? A major ride along in Reach. Hinted at a lot more of their game than what they did. Perhaps release the New Hawtness. I mean for -blam!-'s sake, all they did was give out a couple avatars and forced everyone to rely on something that really didn't matter to them.

  • 07.07.2012 10:10 AM PDT

Wow, I loved that. That was funny, and we all knew it was a tour of Bungie too!

My first Bungie day was in 2007. just because THIS account says 2010, doesn't mean I suddenly became a fan of Bungie in 2010.

And they are DONE with Halo. They arent going bring the community back to the franchise they dont own anymore! They even said last yea its the final Halo Humpday.

Plus, they arent ready to reveal there game. If you had common sense, they would have revealed it at E3. They wouldn't reveal an entire game on Bungie day, when they could have revealed it to a much bigger audience weeks ago.

And wait, you just say 2009 was the best Bungie day, because they had Bungie VS the World, and gave recon to the winners, yet last year, they had a Bungie VS the World, swag bags, the one hour vidoc, the new posters, and the limited edition items on Ebay all going to chartiy, and you claimed they failed.

Just take your arrogant immature mind and leave.

Don't mind my newb stats on here, my 1st gamertag got banned from XBL so I had to make a new one :/

Uh... Bungie would probably pick up the cost. Otherwise it would be kinda pointless for your exact reason.

Possibly. The new avatars are already hints about it, and we could see some more, but I wouldn't expect them to reveal anything major.

They also sent actual stakes to the people that beat them on Bungie Day 2011!

Oh what I would give to have been one of those lucky seven.

Can't wait to see what's next, Bungie.
