I know I'm going to be one of the first to say it (and most likely called a d-bag for doing so), but I find it a little stupid that this year's Bungie Day was based around seven people. I mean, there is quite literally nothing else for the community. Oh, and avatars/desktops and t-shirts (THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR) are pretty lame. They're all just a bunch of clean-cut, easy to make logos that we've been seeing for well over a year now.
Way to go Bungie. You failed your most important day, yet again.
Come on now. It wasn't that bad. The shirts and scout books are pretty cool, and the 3 graphics they released are nice. You're probally just upset that you aren't One of Seven, which is understandable, we all are. But that anger, jealousy and rankling will pass. It's not like Bungie had a wide array of options for this years Bungie Day; they can't hold any special event or giveaway in the games anymore (I don't think) but they did their best. :/
Thanks Bungie for being so generous again, I'll certainly be buying more! Happy Bungie Day everybody! ^_^
EDIT: Remember, all proceeds from sales up until the 21st go to charity. It helps fund the Bungie Foundation, which is simply wonderful!
Actually, I'm glad I'm not One of Seven, and for one reason only: I wouldn't be able to fly out there. I simply don't have the money. And, if I was one of the people, I would feel even angrier that I'm on the cusp of actually being able to meet Bungie.
I suppose the one good thing Bungie has done is made the profits of their sales go to charity. Besides that, they've failed. Like last year.Except I'd imagine the trip to Bungie is on them, which is why they're contacting the winners beforehand.
