Subject: The secrets of Bungie and Bungie Day unveiled!

@Helveck

Just an Average Joe...

Today was a very important day of study for myself and colleagues. A day shrouded in mystery, sprinkled with secrets and powdered with cinnamon tasting enigmatic puzzles. A delicious recipe for a bold adventure that would take me through the inner cockles of the heart of the Internet, down to the very pit of its fecal riddled bowels.

I want you to follow me on this journey... Take a sit and listen close, because I have been gifted all the answers which you seek.

I am a master of information, I can piece together any mystery to uncover some of the most proprietary secrets of the most secret organizations. One of those organizations is the one you all collectively adore, and the one to which I am about to expose. Make sure you're seated for this...

We'll start back in 1991, when Bungie was first founded. At the dawn of their inception, it was clear that plans on a galactic scale were slowly forming, and one day they would form the largest enigma known to man. They lured the first followers in with Gnop! Which is first mark in a massive blueprint...

I'll explain for the lame minds trying to comprehend what this sign means.

Gnop! Is the first symbol. Why? Well science dictates we take away the "G" and we're left with "Nop!" which sounds like "Nope!". Meaning this is not the mystery but simply a lure saying "Nothing to see here... Yet."

Evidently Bungie was already attempted to look enigmatic. They continued to play their fans like a fiddle, releasing games with further hidden clues that only I have recently been able to translate and uncover, and so we move on.

Operation: Firestorm was a symbolic  yet threatening approach to attempt to subconsciously strike fear into the hearts of their competitors. As the title itself, spells to you "Storm Fire, operation."

What does this all mean? Well quite clearly it is a message. A message of warning to those brave enough to test the might of Bungie. And if you so fancied an attempt at challenging them, that they would fire flaming boulders from their trebuchets down upon you, creating a fiery storm of fire. One might even call this fire storm operation, Operation: Firestorm. The blending of two words into one was clearly designed to throw most people off what their true intent was.

Now with people wondering what this mystery was, and why they were so adamant about protecting it with medieval weaponry, our next clue carries us further along the path.

Marathon.

Clever, Bungie. Clever. But your symbolic title that teases us will not go unrecognized.

What is "Marathon"? Of course it is a game. But what does it mean? Well one could make the brave assumption that it means or refers to a form of running with a goal or end point in mind.

Now we're running. Run with me. Get out of your chair in run. Chase the mystery! WAIT! STOP THERE!

What are you chasing? What is this Marathon you're running for? And to where?

That's right, you don't know. And Bungie doesn't want you to know either. But they want you to chase their dark shrouded and masked secrets even further. Now take my hand...

Next in our line of clues is their next creation. Their creation of a demon.

That's right. Oni in Japanese often translates to demons or devils. It was our curve ball thrown at us amidst our research. Misinformation of sorts... Or maybe...

Oni means demons,
Demons belong in Hell.
Hell is symbolized as below us.
Below us is the ground.
Sometimes ground is the bottom.

We're at the bottom. What do we do when thrown to the bottom? We look up. The the sky. To the Heavens, where we will see angels... Angels that carry with them...

Halo's.

Bungie knew before Halo, the name in which they were going to utilize for their title after Oni since it could illustrate that we were nearing the Heavens. The Heavens of course being symbolic of the final destination. The answer to all our wonders and questions.

So now we know, they have lured us, showing they're not afraid to defend themselves against threats, have made us chase nothing to a bottom point, only now to be pointed in a better direction, which is up. Which is, Halo.

The trilogy of Halo stands as a timer. And this has been studied and proven as a scientific fact. Bungie wanted you to count to three to prepare yourselves for when it came time to receive one of the last pieces of the puzzle. They also threw in one last indicator with ODST, which they would have you believe stood for "Orbital Drop Shock Trooper", which in reality makes no sense and is completely ridiculous.

What "ODST" actually meant was, "Oh, Don't Stand There". But why Bungie? Why can't I just stand there?!

Because... They want you to REACH! That's right. We're right there. At the home stretch. One final "Reach" as they had named their final title was representative of the fact that we were within just inches of the final, massive, and universally sought after answers.

With Halo Reach, we took our final step. And waited until today to share with you are findings... With all that we have learned, in addition to decoding today's enigmatic symbols along with secret codes, the answer is finally here, and I for one am relieved, and more than happy to share my findings with all of you.

The secret they've been keeping from us... Is...

They're working on a new game. And it is entitled (Possibly code name or final name, cannot confirm) "Prophecy", "Operation: Amazing Game", "Johnny's Big Day"...

Or "Destiny". But that's just silly and highly unlikely.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Mind = blown.
