Subject: So... Hold on

Seven random dudes got codes... and that's it? That's all there is today?

EDIT: And nothing the whole community's involved in? Just seven randoms?

Halo: CE Anniversary Achievement Idea
C-C-C-CANNON BREAKER!
Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

Other than the new Bungie Store swag and avatars, I'd assume so.

From One of Seven. Google it.

We got the Geomantic Runes which has been hinted to be useful at a later date. We've known for a while that they weren't announcing anything; DeeJ and urk practically spelled it out for us to the point where they were coming very close to beating us over the head with the fact.

I already know about the one of seven thing, I thought seven more people were given codes.

Community Joe Interview: defnop552
Bye.

A lot of the community were involved in the Bungie Day Community Carnage which took place across multiple games. Just because it wasn't endorsed and run by Bungie doesn't make it wasn't any less *enjoyable.

*Our team got our butts handed to us in the first game in Valhala. That wasn't a good time. :-)

Oh, cry about it. I was just asking a question. My OP was neither whiny nor complaining, albeit I am a bit disappointed. Hop off your high horse.

And lol community carnages

defnop is right.

We discovered the runes. We found the video that we weren't meant to see. We began work on a wild goose chase to nowhere (a hobby, it seems, of the Bungie.net forumgoers). We had lobbies of Halo games run all day, organized by Mr. Meatwrap himself.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

Well, we were told "Soon," which is something at least.

And lol community carnages
>is offered an avenue through which to participate in the Bungie Day festivities with the community

>rejects said offer, scoffing the mere mention of it

>is upset that the community "wasn't" involved enough in Bungie Day

The great thing about this community is that, now that we've been in the dark so long, we've become largely self-sufficient. Which should help us to not be living weekly update to weekly update in the community forum from now on.

What's so "lol" about them?

I participated in my first one ever and I had a blast. Played some classic Halo 3 with some people from the forums (even got lucky enough to be in a lobby with a Bungie Employee today) and new people I hadn't met before. Overall we had a blast and don't regret a single second of it. Plus I'm also signed up for the Halo Reach carnage tonight and I'm excited.

Bungie Day has always been about Community interaction, and that's what Community Carnage is all about.

So rather than whining about my opinions you could have just said "No, there was indeed nothing interesting that involved the whole community today."

Okay. That was all I needed. Just checking.

Great minds discuss ideas

Average minds discuss events

Small minds discuss people

Conspiracy theories are actually pretty fun to try and prove. Make me wish there was an ARG or something to really think about.

But there was indeed something interesting that involved the whole community today. The community carnage! And plus we got new swag/avatars/themes.

Well,
a) the carnages are just regular halo games with community members and
b) we have them all the time

So the answer, again, is "No, nothing interesting happened today except for seven randomly selected people (three of whom didn't even know they had a ticket) winning something, the site did have the potential to not be boring today, but it resumes so."

You are clearly not a true Bungie fan OP. You dissapoint me with your greediness and lack to understand that Bungie doesn't have to to squat for us!

I'm not saying they should have. I was just asking to clarify if on Bungie Day, which a lot of people anticipated, anything interesting/cool would happen for the community. It did not. Admittedly, I am disappointed, but I don't feel entitled to anything.

Happy Bungie Day to the One of Seven winners, now let the site resume its monotony.

Also stop being such a damn fanboy and drop the nobility act.
