Subject: So... Hold on

quod te non occidit, te fortiorem faciet

- new wallpapers
- new avatars
- new profile backgrounds
- new stuff in the bungie store
- One of Seven video 'n' stuff
- Geomantic figures which could keep us occupied for another year
For a studio that has it's hands full with a top secret IP, they did a great job. Now tell me, what do other studio's ?

*grabs popcorn* Please continue to discuss this ungrateful topic.

Roll the dice, try again.

You forgot the part about Marty is working with Paul McCartney and the fact that 100% of our purchases went to charity. That's a Bungie Day in itself, when you're able to donate that much money for another cause.

I swear, this community really emphasizes the "what have you done lately for me" crowd.

Chill out man, it's a great day to be a 7th column member.

I don't think people are angry over the charity donations. In fact, I'm sure that they support it. I think what they're angry over the fact that the entire day was based around seven members.

When he was younger, he was the one who always had the jokes and riddles that would keep the spirits of the Spartans high. Over the years however, his lifetime of combat had hardened him, as it had all of the Spartans. Within Will, John thought, something special had been lost.

On top of that it was revealed that Paul McCartney would be working with Marty on the next game and no one seemed to care.

I feel like this community is becoming a bunch of spoon fed brats. When did "community" stop being our own initiative?
Get together, play Halo, play anything, speculate... It's not the developers job to organize all of that, only to foster it and to provide a place like this for it's gathering. Even then not all Devs do even that.

The reactions I'm seeing speak to how rabid our fanbase is for new info from them, but to go as far as to blame them or complain that you've somehow been let down... really people. Really?

Once again, people were expecting a little more involvement with Bungie (considering the fact that it was "Bungie Day"). The new avatars/themes/backrounds were a cool way to spark it off, but nothing really happened from there (besides the charity donations).

Bungie has done plenty of ride along's throughout the year. The fact that they can't even manage to do one on Bungie Day is what really let the community down.

You can call us whatever you want, but the fact of the matter still stands: Bungie did nothing yesterday, except give seven lucky people the confirmation that they will have a tour of the studio.

Which is completely within their rights.

Granted it's what we've come to expect from them, but it doesn't seem to matter when this seems to be the community's reaction to everything. The community is spoiled for these expectations. The community should be throwing it's own party, that's why it's called a community. It's like any real-life holiday, you don't see the federal government doing much more than saying take the day off do you?

Celebrate Bungie on Bungie Day,
or is it now "In Soviet Russia, Bungie celebrates YOU?!"

You ingrateful bastard. We got avatars, new available swag, new user themes, and on top of that we're all still able to talk to one another on B.net as a community. That's what we got for Bungie Day. Be thankful.

Your analogy doesn't make sense, since most holidays are based around the federal government. They're typically religious or based around the community. B-Day is different, since it's all about Bungie.

People really aren't that mad about the lack of information... or at least, that's what I'm getting from it. People are mad about the fact that this year's Bungie Day was literally only about seven people.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Codes? Codes for what?

There was a Bungie day this year?

Granted the federal holiday analogy was not the best, but you've managed to deflect the point of my post.

I apologize in advance for all the crappy jokes I make.

Well yeah, it was rather dissapointing.

You say the word "we" as if you speak for a majority of the community. Lol.
