Subject: The Death of Halo

Waypoint Moderators aren't really Moderators, just power hungry and its goal is defend their beloved Halo at all costs. (Meaning that they wank Halo too much.)

BS Angel is alleged foe so, be wary of Waypoint and its moderators! Do not attempt to move to Waypoint. Enter your own risk.

*WARNING* IT IS MY OPINION.

Whoever said that Halo Reach is polished, stable and good game?

Stupidity is strong with someone...

First thing: Halo: Reach is not polished game, I can see some texture glitching issues, graphic settings (not entirely optimization'd)having less than 20 fps, horribly unbalanced matchmaking such as usage of AAs, horribly bad ranking system, horribly bad campaign that have massive canonical errors over in all places, etc.

It's considered as worst Halo game in the history, since their population speaks the truth. Only good game is Halo CE, 2, and ODST.

At first place I was extremely skeptical with Halo 4 since they added AAs, ordnance drops, etc but I found out that it only strictly located in one specific playlist which it is good enough for me, so I can play classic playlists, etc. After this, I decided to welcome Halo 4 to my arms since three reasons: Balanced gameplay (based on videos), actual polished graphics (looks smooth for even 30 fps, I might bet its 45.) and great additions.

Meh. I'm just going to say this.

This debate? Ancient and buried.

It's extremely old, both sides have brought their good and bad points up, and those were well debated.

Hell, people on opposite sides are friendly now (Like Me and Elder for example)

So. As I think Seal Sniper said. "Ugh, this topic again."

Halo can't be called dead or dying until at least Halo 4 comes out. Once it comes out we can actively judge if 343 puts out decent games and story.

- I'm a mutant turtle (not of the ninja variety.), with little sense of direction and lack of a gps.

-True story.

Halo reach was a rushed lazy piece of crap from bungie... Forge maps and campaign levels in MP, majority of which are copy of halo 2 map layouts, wheres the OC?! And Armour Lock.

Armour lock...

I don't think Halo is dead, Halo 4 looks good so far despite even now we haven't really seen much of it, campaign wise anyway which i think is a good move, no spoilers.

TRU7H. CARNAGE. BUNGIE

funny... I had forgotten how ridiculous this place can be...

no offense, but I can clearly remember people saying the same thing when reach came out, just with different halo 2 and 3...

and I sure remember why I stopped coming here for a long time...

Somebody never bothered listening to what Bungie said.

You know, how the MP maps were made first, then the Campaign level designers put the maps from MP into the campaign.

And you know, for everybody -blam!-ing about how halo 2 was the best MP ever (even though auto-aim was massively there.), why are they complaining about map layout if the Reach ones were 'copies of halo 2 maps.'

(To discuss Halo 4.)

In terms of game play polish, Halo Reach had the least glitches.^ Can't say the same about performance.

Halo 2 rules, I think Elder agrees (I think), Halo 2's campaign had the best story, if Halo 4 has a great story, it will hopefully be a great game to live up to the first two in the trilogy.

Halo 3 was the worst game in the trilogy, I welcome Halo 4.

Oh and wrong forum.

reach fanboy right here

if halo 3 was the worst, why is it within the top 15 in the most played games on the 360 every month almost 5 years after release?

I had a lot of fun pushing my way through the amount of enemies you had to fight in each level.
Sometimes they were spread all over the place. Other times they were so crowded you had to pick them off from a distance before venturing in. Either way, it was easy pickings thanks to so many scoped weapons being in the game.

Encounters were rarely refreshing or disparate. Often I wanted to get a battle over with rather than replaying an encounter.

TotS rally point bravo on Legendary with Black Eye, Catch, Tough Luck, Fog, and Famine on was a cinch for me when I took my time with everything. Assassinated the sword Elite right after he missed a swing. I even got to kill the Bob Elite, though it's because I pursued him that I got killed 2 times.

Nonetheless, TotS has some of the best moments in the game. Even though the opening is a massive tease and most of the level is a fraction of epicness compared to H3's campaign, I like it.

It felt like you were in a gritty combat scenario, not a winning one. Framerate loss might have been a part of that. That's what I liked about Reach.
You're kidding.

Framerate loss is an indicator of poor prioritization. What's the point of giving dropships so much detail that weapons and dead bodies and Moa have to disappear right when I'm looking at them?

I think it is like a bank to big to fail.
