Subject: So if the game is going to have an MMO mission structure...

READ IT.

I won the Star. With this on Week 18.

Could it be possible that Bungie's new game will transcend the classic MMO image that we have come to know? It might be an entirely new genre of video games that only Bungie is creative enough to imagine.

Like how they made Matchmaking Campaign and now they going to make it so 16 players can go into Campaign?

Exactly, it's a world. Halo, Diablo 3 and such aren't "worlds" they are just matchmaking, temporary worlds. If you go offline then they stop for you - and there's no real-time development either.

Maybe what 343 Industries is trying with Halo 4 is closer to the concept, but still isn't a MMO. Don't confuse the ideas behind the MMO name, it's more than a few lawyers.

Yes it is. While I hold onto hope that the new game is an MMO with a persistent world where you log in and off and it keeps going without you (Like the games most people think of) It merely states in the contract that it will have "persistent elements" which could mean so many different things.

I'm simply sticking to the definition of the term MMO which I'm sure the lawyers who came up with it were doing when they wrote it.

What I said about a world has not been stated anywhere. That's just what I hope it is but all we know is it has "persistent elements" not a persistent world. Persistent elements could mean just your currency, or items like in Diablo 3's market.

I'm just trying to be a realist here. I really hope the game is like what you're talking about, its just nothing along those lines has been stated yet. If anything its been spoken out against with the whole David Aldridge fiasco.

Well if it is an MMO it will be on the console, so it should be interesting seeing as how there would be almost no competition.

...then does that mean it will be entirely online?

I'm afraid that Bungie is going to really -blam!- this up.

That, in no way, makes a game bad.

Join Sapphire for intense and pleasing sexual pleasure.

It won't be like WoW. Destiny might be like a massive team match (Maybe the factions fighting other factions?) on a multiplayer map.

Just my thoughts.
