OK some of you say the needler sucked in Halo 2, which it pretty much did. The only way to hit anybody with the needler was if you and the enemy where adjacent to each other. All you really needed to do is move from side to side to avoid being hit by one of these guns. But never the less Halo 3 must include a much improved needler because it is still a pretty cool and unique gun to kill people with. Bungie really needs to improve the accuracy and firepower of the needles in order to make it an effective gun against other weapons in the Halo 3 arsenal. The only reason for the Halo2 Needler was to pwn idiots have no common sense so please improve this already pethetic piece of alien crap called the needler.

Dual needler helped me alot in beating Halo2 on legendary. Pump em full of it and they explode. Only with dualies tho.

Halo CE > Halo 3 > Halo 2

Fix the Halo 3 BR spread, plz.

If they take away the homing, leading your target will make skilled players amazing with this gun.

But homing is so cool, you can shoot the stuff around corners, plus it bounces off the walls.

I agree, it was a very situational weapon. Useless at long range, and didn't have the firepower to compete with the likes of the sword or the shotgun at close range, even when duel wielded.

I found that it was an excellent weapon to use when someone was at mid-range and running towards you, but to be fair, a sticky grenade, rocket launcher, SMG, battle rifle, carbine, in fact, any mid-range weapon would do the job quicker.

In my opinion, the needles should bounce more and continue to home after bouncing. That'd make for some interesting tactics!

Curent Games: Gears of War 2, Dead Space, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, The World Ends With You

XBL: KNIGHTOFDRAGONS

They should make them like Halo 1's Needlers. They sounded and looked cooler. Plus they were stronger.

2=Great
1=You would have a better firing rate shooting charged up plasma shots

Yeah 2 needlers were great on legendary just never get stuck with one or else your one unlucky person.

You know what would be awesome? A new type of needler, maybe called a harpooner, that shoots one giant crystal shard that explodes nicely after its impaled you. Or something similar that can skewer you and if you are near a wall, it will nail you to it, then either explode or just leave you there helpless.

When you tripple wield it it's very deadly (and yes you can tripple wield any dualed weapon if you know how). H3 better have it, or I will submit the editer with an arm bar. Ay Ya.

You should of made up your own instrument. You could have named it the PolarLighting -a-phone. People would buy it and they would all be like "Awh, He's so cool for inventing the PolarLighting-a-phone."

Needlers are exellent for campaign, which is why they're still in the game. They just suck in multiplayer unless you're shooting an overshileded person.

First time I have heard of triple wielding what does he do stick one in his bum or does he have a nifty device that straps it on his willy?

You're wrong about one thing. The Needler has a huge firepower. Just 9 or 10 needles has enough firepower as a plasma grenade. It even says so in the official guidebook thing.

the needles need to move faster. That is all and it would make it a better weapon.

I would definitely use 'em if they were more powerful and worth picking up. I think they're cool now anyway though....

he means where you have one in each hand and one as your back up weapon...i think.
oh and if bungie increased the homing ability and made them home in even after ricocheting/bouncing (sp) then it would be interesting

  • 06.16.2006 6:14 PM PDT

yes, the needlers in Halo 2 multiplayer are horrible, VERY easy to doge almost everyone. In Campaign they seem better because the AI aren't smart enought to think, "oh, bunch of needles coming, better get away fast." Halo 1 needlers were very good, if they were coming, get ready to be blown in two.

Dual wielding with needers that are any more lethal than the Halo 2 ones already are would just be completely overwhelming.

  • 06.16.2006 6:39 PM PDT

Not really.
