That kills discussion even more. People would complain their topic only got 2 posts and demand money back.
Let's say you go to an arcade and you purchase some tokens for games. Should you get your money back if you don't make any 100 point shots in skee ball?

Worst analogy ever.

Nope. But some people probably will. No one will buy topics if there is a chance that no one will reply to them. I know I wouldn't.

Worst analogy ever.
Perhaps your compelling argument as to why it is a bad analogy should have some sort of explanation?

I'm not going to dignify this terrible idea of paying to make threads with an explanation as to why it's terrible, your terrible idea does that on it's own.

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

This idea is not the best of all of the idea's given, but I have to say no, to all three ideas.

-_-

Not with a bang but a whimper.

No. Just no.
Quoted for truth. This isn't EA. Bungie is better than that.

Limiting the amount of posts a member can make is bad for any community. This is a terrible idea based on that alone.

In other words, you typed before thinking and now you cannot back up your argument, so to cover your blunder you claim that you do not want to dignify this thread by giving an explanation that you do not have.

I can understand that, but you would look better if you just admitted you rushed your reply without thinking it through, something my idea would fix since it would make you think before replying.

No I completely agree with chubbz. Why should he have to back up that paying to make threads is a terrible idea? There are so many reasons out there such as it would hinder activity during times like bungie day when people are scrambling to make threads due to their own excitement. You should be capable to think of those obvious reasons yourself. Also I see no reason in paying for something that is free on many other developer's sites.

Me gusta

That would lead to segregation, and war between members, a house divided can not stand. Let alone take over the world.

I guess that could work, except I didn't type before thinking. I already stated earlier in the thread(which you don't even seem to be reading, given the amount of replies explaining why it's a terrible idea) that it boils down to 'paying for something we can already do for free'. There's no logical reason as to why your idea is good, needed, or both. Your idea would kill activity on the forums, which is worse than whatever activity you're seeing that made you come up with this idea.

No offense, but this an an awful idea. I like Bungie because I DON'T have to pay.

It only takes a simple question to change everything.

I've heard a lot of bad ideas. Truly, this might be one of the worst.

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

Do you work at EA? They would love you over there.

  • 07.08.2012 1:23 PM PDT

No. I don't want to pay for a site. That's the dumbest thing ever. This isn't even a game; it's not like I'd be paying for bonus content or something.

No. Bad ideas all around. This would make elitism worse, as premium members would cluster together, much as the community fanboys do now.
