What are we supposed to be discussing here?

"Nothing in the 'Verse can stop me."

Ya, no one will pay to post here and no one would charge people to use a forum. It's silly all together. How about forums are free, like they should be.

1.) "Crack In Time" - Louder Production Music
2.) "Agressive Sucks" - Moss Landing
3.) Custom Version of "Meet Oscar" - Louder Productions Music
4.) "Behind You Rise" - Distortion Music
5.) "Aurora" - Mark Petrie
6.) "Surge Down - Audio Machine

I'd pay to NOT have this. Who the hell pays to have extra features on a forum?

I may not be as, "sophisticated" as you people here in the community forum, but I know when an idea is a bad one. And this is it.

This is a horrible idea that should not be even considered. No one should pay to use a -blam!- forum. Period.

  • 07.08.2012 5:24 PM PDT

I'm awesome...No seriously I am.

I honestly don't like premium services, or the idea of limiting regular members 1 or 2 posts a day. or the idea of just buying something to get more than that of the average member in general.

OP wasn't suggesting that the whole website to be paid. You would still be able to post as a regular member but with some restrictions and not enough privilege as paid. The idea isn't bad totally. If bungie or 343 or whoever is running the site wanted to make some extra cash this could be an option.

And the OP was just voicing an idea, a well thought out opinion if I may add. You don't see well thought out ideas anymore ha.

But OP, you could make it so that regular members didn't feel so inferior to paid members. Otherwise it isn't bad of an idea.

That is an appropriate username for the OP of this thread. Just GTFO.
I just had another idea. There would also be a limited number of replies to a topic a user can have withing a certain amount of time. For example, let's say an unpaid user can only reply to a thread 3 times every 30 minutes. Then users like seven would put more thought into what he has to say than posting an emotional outburst with no logical merit whatsoever. This isn't meant as an attack, sorry if you took it that way.

Users like seven are what make a lot of threads funny, and besides there isn't that much spam. Even when there is spam the mods usually take care of it pretty effectively. This would probably just kill the community.

Dude...this would absolutely ruin this site. Honestly, why would you ever WANT to pay for something?

I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

Your idea is still bad and you should still feel bad.

Most girls I've been with were hesitant about taking it in the mouth. But once they did most would swallow. I got tons of compliments on the taste.

I think it's because of my diet. No fast food, no alcohol and lots of fruit.

An idea like this hinders community involvement and might discourage people from posting. Absolutely terrible idea.

And who is stupid enough to pay for certain posting privileges on a game developer's website? Well, I mean, there are people on here that stupid, but not enough to make a difference.

There is a fine line between community involvement and posting nonsensical garbage. My idea would force people to put more thought into their posts.

and posting nonsensical garbage.

Is exactly what you are doing.

You disgust me OP. Who would want to pay to post on a game dev's forum? 'To improve the quality of posters'? There'd be a mass exodus.

The point of these forums is for people to come together and discuss Bungie's intellectual properties and are provided by Bungie as a courtesy to its community. These forums are no where near popular enough for there to be a purpose for "premium subscriptions." If you want that, go to Something Awful. There are plenty of alternatives on the internet, but Bungie's forums will stay the way they always have been; a way to market their games through community interaction and encouragement of the idea of a community. A subscription would create a rift in the community and, while profitable, could create a chain of events that would probably end the forums.
