Everyone needs to stop. I think we just satisfied a hungry troll with one of the biggest meals ever. Look at his other forum topics. His name is failing at life because he made the account to make stupid stuff up like this.

For example one of his forum topics not to long ago was pay me to moderate the forums. This guy is nothing but a troll and we just fed him.
Really? I hope your post is some sort of joke or satire. Otherwise it's pretty sad that you think anybody who posts an idea you do not like is a troll. That is a cop-out you use as an easy way to dismiss people without actually making a valid argument of any kind.

Think about it. Instead of post any valid points, you are practically saying "Guys, don't listen t this guy, he's a troll!" That is dismissive and lame.

His accusation is backed with evidence. I doubt he's trying to cop-out from something he doesn't even need to participate in.

Holy crap... what did I just witness?

Okay, if there was going to be ANY type of subscription for this website, it should have absolutely no restrictions on posting whatsoever.

My type of subscription would include:
-Ability to change username once every 3-4 years.
-Exclusive avatars.
-Exclusive profile backgrounds.
-Exclusive group backgrounds.
-Ability to choose from unlocked prefixes (included with a premium only prefix).
-Access to closed forums, such as the Voting Booth.
-Possibly a slight boost in trust points, similar to linking your WLID.
-Possibly have the ability to send mass PMs.
-Possibly have the ability to view our entire ban history.
-Possibly have the ability to be notified when you're quoted.

-Also, the ability to be invulnerable to the Mods.

What evidence? My previous topics do nothing to suggest that I am a troll. Maybe a few of them were joke topics, but that doesn't mean I am a troll.

You ARE a TROLL.

ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

No, that'd steer away the community from participating in discussions.

Watch out. If I post in your thread, chances are it'll die. I've been cursed, and if I kill your thread, I'm sorry.

I hate this idea for multiple reasons:

1. It costs money for us to give Bungie feedback/ideas (something they WANT from US)

2. It limits the amount of feedback/ideas we can submit

3. It will drastically lower the amount of activity on the forums

4. It makes it so that the people who pay more will get their voices heard more over the people who don't pay (skewing feedback based on money, not on how many people like/dislike things)

Come on over to Moving Up for your primary help and Q&A source.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."

I really don't think paying for a forum is a good idea, period. Forums are free services for communities to discuss and debate (and devolve in some cases) whatever subject the forum is on. So no, OP, sorry but I don't support your idea.

@Vinyl_Hb

I'd pay to have you permabanned from this site.

This is by far, the stupidest, most embarrassing post I've seen in my time here on the forums. The idiocy that went into that post baffles me.

You will be the first person slingshotted into the sun.

Maybe not, but your idea is still stupid as hell.

Why should you be invulnerable to the mods?

I'll second you on my agreement with that. It would break the website.

How is this thread still going? This "idea" is so bad that I'm wondering if there is some sort of hidden joke in the topic that we are all missing.

Why post at all if only to derail then?

OT: I agree with the subscription service and the benefits, but not the limits.

Roll the dice, try again.

Why restrict users to make quality posts? Why not give them incentive to make quality posts?

Sorry, but no, not at all. Never. In my opinion, that would be worse than Bungie implementing a system where your title dictated how much you could post.
