it is pretty scratched i should probably get a new one. but what about the xbox ticking?The Xbox making a ticking noise is it trying to move the disc into a position where it can find the data it is after. As it's scratched, it can't find the data and emits a tick-like sound as it fails to find the information. It's nothing to worry about unless the disc is shattered like my Halo 3 one. I'm worried it'll burst one day.
