Mistreated, misplaced, missunderstood
Miss, no way its all good

I'm a bit of loon with tryin to find out Bungies next game before other people. I just got round to reading the Bungie day update and noticed something I found strange. It was the last, a thing that was trademarked...

See you starside.  Soon TM "
( THE TM WAS THE SMALL ONE BUT IT WAS AN ILLEGAL CHARCATER HERE)

Why the TM?? It might be nothing but why would anyone trademark the word soon? A possible hint from them towards the next game?

Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated!

Cop lights, flash lights
Spot lights, strobe lights
Street lights
Fast life, drug life
Thug life, rock life
Every night

Soon is an acronym for

*gets shot*

TRU7H. CARNAGE. BUNGIE

Too much coffee?

I think they are just making fun of themselves for telling us that they are going to tell us something soon .

But why go to the trouble of trademarking that. That costs money, money that could be put into buying more grunts for their Texas massacre???

I just don't get it

Irrelevant

They've been doing it for years. You're looking for clues that aren't there.

I think it is really more of a running joke with Urk and the writers. Urk was really good about keeping us coming back to the Weekly Updates for info on REACH with phrases like "Oh next week I might be allowed to reveal X or talk about Y. No Promises (tm)"

So I think it alludes more to the fact that they just keep saying "Soon" so much because they can't reveal anything yet that they might as well have trademarked the phrase by now.

Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

They'll probably market the series with it. Nothing to important.

COULD THEY BE HINTING AT WEEKLY UPDATES COMING BACK?

My friends call me D Bo.

Like others have said: It's nothing but a way to get you to come back to the site.

It's like what was used to mock SONY with the PSN. They kept saying soon day after day and eventually people just sorta used it like it was a trademark.

If it is a parody of that. Bungie is saying that they have said soon, and will keep saying soon (when it may actually be longer depending on one's definition of soon) until it is time.

Interesting, so is it a fake trademark?

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

I'm pretty sure that one can not trademark "Soon".

Yeah, like some said above, its just a joke that Bungie has. By putting the TM they are saying that they say "soon" so much that they deserve the trademark on it. It really isn't anything at all, but it is HILARIOUS.
