Subject: Do AAs remove the importance of decision making and positioning?

I feel like in Halo 3 if you were bad at the game and consistently ran into the open, far from cover, you would die. alot. But now in Reach it seems as if any time you do something stupid you have something to cover for it - you can sprint away, grenade to armor lock, melee to armor lock, jetpack away...

I was never the greatest in a classic 1v1 BR duel but I still got a 50 and played well most games simply because I can position myself well and made good use of grenades and teamwork. Now I hate Reach because they nullified those qualities since every idiot can use the buffed grenades and go into armor lock to compensate for being in a bad position. Does anybody else share a similar view?

I'm new to competitive Halo and Halo itself (Reach being my first video game ever actually). Message me if you want to play;

Reach: MLG, Arena, Doubles, BTB and customs.
Halo 3: Ranked MM and customs.

Also I have every Halo title and all of its DLC on the Xbox 360.

Not completely.

But some more than others.

Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

That question should be classified as rhetorical. Obviously, yes.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

Rhetorical questions do not have definitive answers.

This one does, and it is "yes, Reach took away the importance of positioning".

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.
