Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

It seemed like a lot of regulars were absent. I had fun any way. The only problem was the teams seemed to get unbalanced alot. I switched once to even it up.

How does auto team balancing work exactly? Does it automatically balance the teams at the start of a new game, or just assign new players to the team with fewer players?

Does it even them out teams after a free-for-all match, or do you end up on the same team you were on before the free-for-all?

Does it reassign players based on their score in previous games, to keep the teams abilities more even?

Good! I try to do that too: Even teams make Halo fun.

I'm pretty sure it assigns new players to the team with fewer players, until the teams are even.

I don't know about this. Further experiments are neccessary!

I don't think so. That sounds too advanced for ye ole Halo Mac/PC.

After making my initial post, I went back on the Maw server. No regulars, just random pukes. And I mean pukes! Switching teams to TK the flag carrier and bring it back to their original team, etc.

Is it possible to set it up so that when no admins are on, FF is turned off and auto team balancing is on? Auto team balancing would be a good idea for any time.

Sorry I've been sick and busy with the tourney. I didn't post a announcement, so that's why it was so empty. I'm going to run a Gathering this Thursday and it will be the last one for a while because I will be having tourney matches on the server all next week.

All that auto team balance is, iit will not let you switch teams and will even up the teams at the start of a new game.

If three people quit on the same team will it let players switch from the larger team to the larger? I can't remember

I always thought it would let you switch to even out teams, but not if they were already even. Also would prevent you from switching to the more populated team.

Same here. I was there for 6/13/06 MAW gathering. Though, I upgraded my graphics card a while ago, I won't be beat up as much. I'm still trying to discover the wonders of pistols.
