ok, in the halo books, espiscialy the "fall of reach", the master chief and other spartans were allways out-numbers at least 30 to 1 at any given time.

"quote from the book"

100 to 1, that would be easy

500 to 1, with some planning and support thats do-able

1000-1, looks like well have to try a bit harder than normal.

ok I messed up the last one, but the books say that somewere.

Im just saying that if bungie were to implement the other spartans in campaign, or just co-op, this would make the game much more fun. because it would be way harder, espsicaly on legendary, also it would go with epic battles much more,

bigger guns, need more enemies to kill.

I guess, in general, I say include as much tie-in material from the books as possible in Halo 3, without confusing the average player, of course. The books are just so awesome. They paint Master Chief and the other Spartans in such a different way, aside from the whole "hard to kill" thing. They can jump higher, hit harder, kick farther, and move faster than we can ever really get a sense of in the game itself.

If you always spawn with a rocket launcher with infinite ammo, why not?

they should.... depends on where you are. Obviously having a thousand enemies on a little catwalk would be a little odd. Maybe MC could stand on a cliff watching as hundreds and thousands of covenant drop from their ships grav lift onto the earth... awesome. But we would need some new weapons. Like mines, mortors, bombs, air strikes.

i say they should, especially because its earth and all the valuable forerunner tech on it. i also think bungie would have but they never really could because it would get all laggy, you know?

Yes, more enemies is good, but what I combine Halo with that makes it different from other games, that it isn't just shoot kill shoot kill kill kill. It's a whole world to explore, with amazing graphics, you can even just listen to the music for a half year as I've done xD

So yes, a huge battle will be nice, not more enemies overall where it is enemies, but a huge battle somewhere/when.

Of course, Bungie can't add more enemies than what the Xbox can handle. We dont want to play a game with 0.3 FPS (frames per second)

It would get boring with a thousand. How about a couple hundred at most. Better yet have instant action wear you can fight unlimited guys. Have them come in waves. Get some huge maps made just for it.

I would love more enemies in certain parts. I want to do things like while your on the way to an objective and you look down into a valley and see thousands of covenant. You might just need to highjack a gost on patrol or something but i want to be able to run into the thousands of bad guys who are going to create a second sun when they all shoot you in a few seconds flat!

Also i want to do missions like the on the spartans do in the First Strike (when Fred and the other grab the banshees).

actually, bungie can add MUCH more enemies than what the xbox can handle, seeing as the game will be only for 360.

Maybe not 1000-1, but I would totally dig a Co-Op scenario that was 1000-4. I think I would pee my pants if I could do that via Live.

How can it get laggy? Have you seen ninetynine nights? Lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2? Kameo? All those games had many enemies on screen at once and the game suffered no laggieness and their character models still looked great. Remember we're talking about the XBOX 360! 3 3.2 ghz powerpc processors, 512 mb memmory, so on so forth.
