Halo is supposed to be a wargame. Played with one elite character, but you still have marines to help out. First of all, marines don't do diddly squat. Second of all, MC is the SAVIOUR of mankind. It's all about Master Chief. In Halo 3, I think that it should be more like a wargame, with squad commands (yes I did read all of those other posts), and more marines that actually think for themselves and not have MC save their butts. Yes I know that MC is supposed to be the main character, but I still think that there should be more people actually fighting, not just little groups.

(10:19:49 PM) Scruss: oh and pezza, i saw what you did to that cat
(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

When you say War game, what do you actually mean? Halo was not made to be Ghost Recon, I don't think it ever will or ever should be. The idea of more people and larger battles is good reasoning however.

More intelligent marines - Yes
Squad commands - No way

I don't mind when I get more useful AI, but having to babysit marines with squad commands is just not Halo. That's another game.

My favorite thing about Halo 2 is that they didn't go nuts with the "gimmicks" when trying to decide how to improve on Halo: CE. Yeah, the campaign isn't as good but I'm talking actual gameplay here. Picking up Halo 2 was as intuitive as walking after having played Halo 1.

fine then, I messed up with the commands that link up to Ghost Recon or any other related game, but I still think that it should be a war! Not just piddly little squads.

Agreed.
But, um, last time i checked, the definition of war was: A state of open, armed, often prolonged conflict carried on between nations, states, or parties.

Hmmm....
Parties...Humans, Covenant, check!
Open: yup.
Armed: Halo isnt rated M for nothing.
And its been going for several years now.
Yup, its definitely a war.

Remember the scene near the beginning oh Halo 2 when he uses the rapid loss of atmosphere from opening the Bay door to propel himself (and the bomb) through space and to the covenant capital ship.
Well, when you watch the cut scene, as he's flying through space you notice 2 very large armies of ships fighting eachother. (Hence the explosions everywhere.)

I'd consider those forces ALOT more than "piddly little squads".
