One does not choose a destiny, his destiny is bestowed, shaped and formed, from the soul.

<----

Anyway as some people have said that this "faction" or group will be located on the moon. My thought is that a series of geographical or man made disasters has made Earth inhabitable forcing people to go live on the moon. It's dead orbit because either it is orbiting around a dead planet or because of a chain reaction of some sorts that stops the gravitational pull and the orbit of the moon around the sun causing the moon to either stop moving or drift off to other parts of space. Not that it has to do with zombies or anything

Thoughts. And as with everything else this is completely speculation

If earth is involved, its possible. And solid sci-fi. Your theory reminds me of what happened between the earth and moon in Asimov's Foundation series, which is more fully outlined in some of his other books, I think.

#1 Legendary ODST Firefight Highscore

[UNINTELLIGIBLE > INSUBORDINATION(?)]

That makes sense, as the emblem shows one planet and one moon. Could be other possible bodies, or not even a real planet, just symbolism for the faction.

Dead Orbit actually revolves around the Mythic Headquarters. Fear us, for your end times are nigh.

I bought a Dead Orbit shirt. Does that mean I'm a Mythic?

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

Dead Orbit is an anagram of Burrito - you dont need to check, just trust me.

I have a picture in my mind of Mythics in tuxedos drinking fine cognac...but they are all hary and beastly looking, and eating raw animal jiblets.

"There is no time for peace. No respite. No forgiveness. There is only WAR!"

Im not sure if its too widely known but the symbol in the middle is "Zain" the 7th letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

sevens everywhere

If its supposed to be a zayin it's pretty abstractly drawn...seems a stretch. Although, once I see it its hard to unsee.

But...if we are being that abstract...why not just say its a 7?

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

I think all factions will be operating on the same celestial body/area, don't think there will be different maps. I'm drawing this conclusion cause of the footage in A Brave New World, which makes it look like it's more or less open world, unless the vast landscapes are just backdrops. There is also a screen describing player movement which suggest that the environments are a lot larger than regular multiplayer maps; they've got far to many objectives and points of interest.

Although I guess one could draw the conclusion that there are several smaller open worlds too.

What I mean with all of that above, is that I doubt Dead Orbit will get the moon for themselves. I doubt, but I won't dismiss the idea.

Cool, didn't know that.

It does however start to worry me that sooner or later it's going to be impossible to figure out what belongs to what, seeing as seven seems to tie together EVERYTHING.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I think that's a very good idea based on what we know so far.

I can see the seven, not the skull.

I can see the seven, not the skull.
The notch that designated the seven's top with its body can be seen as an eye and the three pieces below can be seen as teeth.
