I was there for the glory days of Combat Evolved. I was there when Halo 2 was hyped up and met the hype. I was there for the first days and last days of Halo 2 on Xbox Live. I was there for the Halo 3 days, the great Lag Age of 2008-2010. I was there to laugh and not buy ODST, I was there to vomit when Reach implemented reticle bloom. I am a Halo veteran, and a Halo legend.

After I played Halo 4 at RTX, it supports the reason why Halo Reach is a disgrace to the Halo franchise. The only tolerable settings that Reach contains is the MLG V7 settings because they somewhat play like the original trilogy with the fast game pace, and the aspect of no randomness. I have handled a year and a half of this game, and I am sickened by this game's lack of good maps, lack of decent playlist, lack of tolerable settings, lack of a "fun" factor, and a lack of a commitment to competitive play.
While I wait for Halo 4, I'll be playing Halo 2 XBOX Connect and Halo 3, because even though Halo 4 has some Reach elements and CoD elements, the core gameplay and the pace highly overshadows those certain aspects of the game.
See you all on November 6th, or on the Flood ;)
I agree. Reach is on par with ODST... not a good game. Not competitive. Slow paced, too much aim assist. It is xbox trying to compete with COD. Cod is noob-friendly so they wanted to do the same with Halo.
Most kids here love it because they are bad and like noob friendly shooters, or they are average at shooters so they think they are GODS because Reach is so easy.
Halo 4 will probably be the same thing, 343 could get clutch though and market the game towards the hardcore nerd fanbase... but that wouldn't be as profitable as making a COD-comparable noob shooter.
343 industries... your competition is Black Ops 2. I cannot emphasize how bad Black Ops and MW3 are. Battlefield and Crysis wont be threats until the next console comes out. Just make a stick with what made Halo 1/2/3 good. Please god.
