A friend?

No.

A retarded random who cannot get off his left trigger?

The moment the option comes up.

I play on Boxer half the time.
Not my problem ;)
OT I don't boot because it's either I don't get the option to in BTB or I betrayaltrap on Grifball.

"In Halo 3 not all 50's were good players, but all good players were 50's."

Your opinion is invalid.

Almost always. In most cases you have to be pretty bad/careless to betray someone so I don't need players like that on my team. I'd do better without them.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

Stop making me boot you so often, ya bad kid.

Almost always unless I'm in a party, in which case it's always an accident.

If I'm in 4v4 Super Slayer and you accidently betray me, you're probably careless/clueless enough that your presence in the game actually hurts my team more than helps. If you're going to go -9 in Slayer, I'd prefer to boot you so that I can get more exposure to the action in the game because I am better than you and the more chances I get, the more likely it is that my team wins.

If I'm playing good opposition or Arena, I need 4 on my team, so unless it was blatantly on purpose, I'll let it slide.

Usually, I'll boot. I play SWAT almost exclusively and "accidents" don't happen so often, so I almost always boot.

The other day, my friend and I were playing SWAT when my friend was assassinating someone and one of our teammates betrayed my friend. He then proceeded to fail to get the kill. After the betrayer died he immediately quit so we couldn't get him back.

A couple of games later, we saw him in matchmaking and he was on the other team. My friend isn't the best at SWAT, but I'm better than he is. So I took it upon myself to go after the betrayer and teabag the living s*** out of him every time he died.

To make a long story short, the betrayer had more deaths than his teammates... combined. He went something like 13-20 while his teammates' next closest death total was 6 or 7 (the other team was camping in the green lift on Sword Base. I was going after the betrayer, not his teammates). I personally killed that guy 15 times while going 21-6, all the while I was tea-bagging the s*** out of him every time I killed him.

Yes, I dont care if it was accidental or not. They are ruining the game for other people. Its not like I need them to win a game.

  • 07.15.2012 1:24 PM PDT

The only times I get betrayed are usually someone killing for the sniper, then, I boot them. If it was an accident, I forgive but if they are killing me for a power weapon, then I boot. One guy actually tried pushing me of the base when I was waiting for the sniper on hemorrhage today, and when I got the snipe he killed me and so I booted him.

Chapter

I only boot if the teamate really deserves it, like if they betray me for a power weapon or just to be a dick, and I try not to boot guest because most of the time it's not the other teamate's fault their guest is an idiot.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

...why were you waiting for the sniper in the first place? Do you have nothing better to do? Or do you just not pay attention to when it spawns?

I've been lenient over the last couple of months. I've even let purposely betrayals slide, but it's gotten out of hand that I decided to get my own back, so yes, if you've blatantly betrayed me for a vehicle or PW, the only thing you'll be seeing is the Matchmaking lobby.

  • 07.15.2012 5:11 PM PDT

Please don't hype for games...
They'll just fall short of your expectations and you'll complain for months.

On purpose and multiple times, yes. If it was on accident, no.

I usually get there about 10 seconds early cuz I don't kelp track of when I get it I just go there about the time it spawns.

I intend to live forever, or die trying,

so far, so good.

Only if it was on purpose.

Ie) I was betrayed for a weapon or vehicle.

Anything else, I forgive.

Agreed. That is what everyone should do.

Boot if you are betrayed for a weapon or vehicle.

Forgive everything else.

I only do it if they are being annoying and betraying me on purpose. Otherwise, like If it's an accident, I don't.

  • 07.15.2012 7:44 PM PDT

Halo died with Bungie
Bungie died with Halo

If it is an accident then I don't. But if they did it on purpose then I will.

I hate it when I accidently betray someone ( I never betray on purpose) and they insta-boot me. Really ticks me off!

So if a person on my team is going negative twenty and just throwing grenades everywhere, killing teammates, I should allow that to continue in my game if I have the option to remove him?

Carelessness is no accident and does not deserve to be treated as such.

  • 07.16.2012 11:53 AM PDT

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

I always play in a full party, so I never boot anyone because it's usually an accident. The only person I've booted frequently is Recent Players. He's super annoying, haven't played with him in months though.

  • 07.16.2012 12:02 PM PDT

your opinion matters, no matter how wrong it may be.

depands on my level of rage at the moment, if it's an ultra competitive thing like betraying for the shotgun, I boot, but I'm usually pretty lenient

  • 07.16.2012 10:21 PM PDT

I try to treat it on a case by case basis and do my best to just avoid being betrayed (if someone is shooting you after you grab a PW, just go elsewhere). The hard decision is getting run over or betrayed by a rocket launcher because someone wants your kill. If the guy seems to be being a jerk in general and I'm a victim, he's out regardless of whether it's intentional or not. Almost never for bad grenade throws- too often they seem to just be bad bounces and could have ended up a great toss the other way.
