"Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before." - James T Kirk

It is possible for Didact to have lit the Halo and done what ever he did next. Why? It's simple. The Flood were alive and well on Instillation 04. A Halo must shield those who are on it when fired.

We know the Halo kills the Flood's food but what about the food on Halos like wildlife? It would be basically a free buffet.

Those on a Halo are immune to the effects when fired.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Yeah, this was pretty much set in stone last week or so in a thread I made.

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

As did I.

But they can't eat animals, they don't have the proper sustaining mass. They were also locked away on Halo before the the Covenant screwed up.

Actually they can use wild life, but it's just for biomass.

Actually, they can use wildlife for combat forms. See Halo Wars.

However, it's more of a case of "Wildlife vs intelligent race. We'll turn the intelligent thing into combat forms first."

I've heard some things that halo surfaces are shielded, but about the flood on it... Remember that it was A: in Stasis and probably B: in some sort of shielded area, OR like how the races were reseeded in origins.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

Pretty sure the rings were activated from the Ark.

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

The Didact is the Gravemind! O_o

Yea, but how does that help us in the unravelling of Halo's mysteries, where are you going with this?

Furthermore, the Flood that survived on the 05, and its gas giants orbital station, were isolated, probably kept for research, until those Covenant fools accidentally let them loose. Installation 04 on the other hand had a Gravemind scurrying around, which I don't really know what to make of.. Halfway through Primordium, I thought that the proto gravemind, Chakas and entourage discovered, was to be the Gravemind from the trilogy, but it ended up being 343s Halo...

Um, actually 05 had the massive Flood outbreak that was coordinated by the Gravemind, 04's specimens were released by the Covenant.

Wildlife can be used, but only as a stepping stone. The wildlife in Halo Wars crapped on you to kill you.

I think that the characteristics of the flood are those of a parasite or virus and these beings are not considered vivos.tal see that's the reason why the flood in its primitive state was not damaged.

Alpha, beta, gamma, delta. That's what I assumed.
