I was surprised that Bungie left the feul rod gun out of multiplayer mode after it was added so effectively to the campaign of Halo 2. Some might argue that it is too powerful, but I find that the slower speed of the projectile as well as its ballistic trajectory make it a good match for the faster and more accurate rocket launcher. I hope that the feul rod gun makes it into Halo 3 multiplayer, because it would make the game play much more fun.

they didn't put it in multiplayer because it was 2 overpowered with all the ammo it could carry (they could have corrected this by making it only hold a certain amount of ammo in multiplayer) BUT it also would have been WAY laggy seeing as how slow it travels. something about framerate is what I heard.

I think it should be added as well. One problem though is it's use in small areas, like inside a base. Someone with one of those could come into the base and wipe it out with ease.

But on a 360 it would not be a problem. As for balance, ROCKETS??? They're even more powerful!!!

Well they also said that the Fuel Rod made the game laggy and the framerate would drop. I think if they fixed that then just lowered the ammo count then it would work out nicely. I think it should have about 5 more shots than the Rocket launcher, that would be nice.

The Fuel Rod has what...25 ammo plus your clip you have in? That's too much. If they lowered it to like 15 shots (at the most!) total, it would work out. But then again the Fuel Rod in Halo:PC had a BUNCH of ammo and it worked out pretty well.
