Subject: FWC - The Color Theory

"There's daggers in men's smiles." - Donalbain, Macbeth, Act II, scene iii

-Pulled from another thread and revised for your viewing pleasure.

I have three theories on the FWC, all revolving around a central idea that I'm going to call the Color Theory.

The Color Theory

Please note the colors that are present in the FWC Logo: purple, yellow, and red.

For obvious reasons, it's safe to assume that purple is the main color of the FWC. However, what about the yellow and red? And not just any yellow and red, mind you. The two colors have a very specific hue that is akin to the hue seen in the Osiris and New Monarchy logos. Is it an exact match? Not quite. However, it's unlikely that these colors appearing in the FWC Logo is mere coincidence. Read on.

Future War Council - Possibility #1: It is not unusual for a middle man to arise between two large and influential nations or factions. Think the Jedi Council from Star Wars. Whenever there's a problem between the nations, the Future War Council is there to mediate the problem to avoid a violent conflict. Perhaps the FWC isn't a violent organization at all; perhaps their goal is to eliminate future wars, not provoke them. And since Osiris and the New Monarchy appear to be large factions (that are possibly rivals), electing a Council to govern them both seems like a pretty good idea.

Future War Cult (Gangbang Theory) - Possibility #2: What happens when two large, overtly strong, and equally power-hungry nations form an alliance? Those two nations become nearly unstoppable and have the ultimate say in pretty much everything, ever. Dead Orbit used to be a renowned and influential organization. That is, until the newly founded alliance between Osiris and the New Monarchy took over everything and destroyed what used to be Dead Orbit's home. Now, Dead Orbit has resorted to piracy and illegal activities to survive and take revenge on the Future War Cult - the cursed alliance between Osiris and the New Monarchy.

Future War Cult - Possibility #3: This theory has a lot of variation. The New Monarchy and Osiris are bitter rivals, and they are either A)going to war soon, or B)are already at war. The Future War Cult is a group of small factions and independent space captains who are seeking to profit from the war between Osiris and the New Monarchy. In addition to racking up funds and goods from the violent feud, it is also in the FWC's interest to bring Osiris and the New Monarchy to an end. Who needs old rivalries and unnecessary violence when you have all of space to explore? I sure as hell don't want that in my destiny; maybe the FWC isn't such a bad choice after all.

There is a problem, what if the FWC, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy aren't factions at all? What if they're titles of each level in Destiny or possible titles for Destiny? Really your theory hinges on the assumption that these are factions.

The only reason I didn't include the Seven Seraphs is because that is BUNGiE's team and plus the BUNGiE Day shirts didn't include ones with the Seven Seraphs logo, thus providing a possible BUNGiE employee only thing in Destiny.

This is all just speculation mind you, but I am calling that Seven Seraphs is a BUNGiE employee thing (like flamming armor in Halo 3, blue flames with inheritor skull in Halo Reach) in Destiny.

What if the lucky seven visiting Bungie, were the Seven Seraphs? Also possible, we just don't know.

As much as we know next to nothing about what the logos represent, I didn't pay attention to the colors in FWC, so that's opened my eyes up to the possibility of as potential faction union. If they're factions at all.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Original Thread.

Anyways, I like your theory and how it bridges together the two factions. This would either mean the FWC is like a non-aggression pact between the two factions, or maybe they're just allies trying to prevent war. Good find.

Actually sounds very plausible.

This is seemingly a very good possibility.

FWC is just an acronym that Bungie puts out there to let their fans speculate on. They shuffle through all of the ideas, pick the best one and run with it. We're basically doing their jobs for them at no cost.. except for web server fees, and whatever they pay DeeJ with.

Purple is the color said to represent the eccentricism, weirdness and unstability. I don't see that a peacemaker faction would use it in its logo. Do you know any country (in the real world) that uses this color in its flag?
