For Carnage, Apply Within.

I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.

I think there's another event happening in Anaheim in July. Not sure it's MLG but the prize is $1000. Which I'm going to the event by the way. June 25th is too soon for me to start practicing any MLG playlists. Wish this would of been posted sooner :-(

does anyone know if any of the mlg events are telivised or anything like on g4 tv or something?

Great story, too bad the event is June 23-25, you know, Friday through Sunday, not Sunday through Tuesday. As for being televised. Head on over to www.mlgpro.com and navigate to buy some VOD. Nice small fee and it's good for the year and you get to watch them play. USA networks is doing TV specials later in the year for each event too.

that is likely the MLG Bakersfield(California) pre-Anaheim tournament, which is also giving free entry to MLG Anaheim to teams who place well..

MLG Bakersfield Information
This article also contains a link to gametypes at the tournament and other information not stated in this post.

Notably on the page there is a reply stating:

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!

MLG is doing something truly awesome for the Bakersfield Tournament, something that, as far as I know, has not been done for any other Practice Tournament in any other city thus far.

MLG IS PROVIDING THE BAKERSFIELD TOURNAMENT WITH 10 ADDITIONAL TEAM PASSES TO THE MLG ANAHEIM TOURNAMENT!! THAT MAKES A TOTAL OF 13 TEAM PASSES THAT WILL BE UP FOR GRABS ON JUNE 17, 2006!

What this means is that your odds of getting free entry into the MLG Anaheim Amateur Tournament just increased exponentially!

Here is how things will work now. All teams that make it to the Elite 8 will now receive free entry into the MLG Amateur FFA and 4 v. 4 Tournament in Anaheim on 6/23-6/25. As for the remaining 5 team passes, we are going to raffle those off during the course of the Tournament. So, even if you get knocked out early, you still have a shot at getting to go to Anaheim. It is an amzing opportunity on so many different fronts that I am truly stunned and excited by this awesome turn of events. All I can say is thanks MLG for coming through with this.

So....if you have been fence straddling, not really sure if you want to go, not really sure if you want to compete, or anything like that, all I can say now is...what are you waiting for. This may be your best chance ever to play, compete, and get a free ride to a MLG Major Event.

Hope if anyone was interested, that this was helpful.
