looks ok I will defiantly watch it, but I still would have hoped for a high budget movie instead of a series by Machinima.

I've pretty well given up hope on a big budget movie, to be honest.

Hollywood doesn't like making money, as the joke goes. :/

Sadly I have to agree with you there :(

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

Saw it moments ago. Looks painfully bad.

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

"They're my orders."
"I don't care"

Ohgodno. Atleast he died/got hit.

Also, why the HELL did they use spartain 117? -blam!-ing damn it. I was actualy considering watching this but when I saw that they were using 117 I just can't bear to even see a single episode.

I run Skirmish!!!

http://www.capturemyhaloclips.com/ - Get your Halo clips captured.
The Artists Corner - Show other members your artistic talent.
Storywrite - Where I am writing my book.

I'm going to watch it. Purely for the fact that it's about time we got some Live Action Halo stuff other than trailers for games and promotions for games.

Plus it's got the girl who played Susan in The Chronicles of Narnia and she's hot :P

I thought I recognised her from somewhere!

I'm not too sure why people are making a big fuss over things like the armour, it's a low-budget film, you cannot expect big Hollywood-esque special effects and all that. I'm personally going to enjoy it for what it is, the story sounds interesting and I look forward to seeing how it ties in with Halo 4.

  • 07.13.2012 3:59 AM PDT

@ajw, because people need to complain about something, probably.

The characters are small by comparison--only 17-18 years old, untrained scrawny kids. They've got some big shoes to step into, literally.

Other than that, I was actually impressed considering the low budget.

Because the story is about how Lasky becomes inspired by the Chief, resulting in a highly sucessfull military career and a highly important character in Halo 4.

This has been known for ages now.

I´m expecting Lackey to be a Spartan IV Volunteer in Halo 4.

I was thinking the same thing. Whatever he is, it'll be cool to see the 30+ years older, more mature Lasky see what basically ammounts to his childhood hero return from the dead and fight alongside him once more.

If he's not a Spartan, I imagine that Lasky could fill the void that Johnson left, of the heroic human soldier who is close to the Chief.

Quite possible. We'll have to see if any type of friendship forms between John and Lasky in the mini series, or it's just Laskys admiration for the Chief that will motivate him to become what ever he becomes. An ODST, I'm expecting at least. They were talking about the Pincer move and showing HEV's for a reason, I guess.

So then everything in FoD is canon, right?

Lol.

So just watching the trailer again, at the end when you hear Cortana's voice, the man saying play it again please is Lasky. You can see his name tag on the left side of his chest (his right)... Does that mean he's the Captain of the Infinity, then? It looked like a Naval officer.

Infinity's Captain is Andrew Del Rio; Lasky might be a bridge officer though. Either way he becomes an important figure for the crew to rally behind.

^^And yes, FuD is all canon.

I enjoy halo for it's story and when I am in the mood, its gameplay. Reach was significantly worse then I expected but was still a great game (minus the european hitscan fiasco). I am sitting on a two mile wide fence on the subject of halo 4. Most of the things I like a technical aspects though and not story or game play. Plus I am slightly mad they took my elites from MP.

I just hope the series isn't filled with senseless, comical killings ala master chief engaging senseless amounts of elites and easily killing them when they are so close to each other in terms of skill and strength. It should at least look difficult.

They were saying in the Sparkast that the battles aren't massive like they were in TFoR, but smaller to reflect the human story being played out here. So I doubt that'll happen.

We should know better, because we are better.

My hopes aren't that high. Trailer didn't do much to excite me. Hopefully I am wrong.

"Where ere thou hast been, here or in yon world manifest? Canst thou tell what is, or what was, or what is to come? No thing shall last. Yet there are some things that will never change. History is written in blood, yet are battles really lost on the battlefield? Canst thou tell me where thou comest, and where thou goest, and what is, or what was, or what will be? For everything remains, AS IT NEVER WAS."

Also the actor who played Colossus in X-Men 2 and X-Men: The Last Stand plays the Master Chief.

That it is written by Todd Helbing and Aaron Helbing (Smallville, Spartacus,) and that they've gotten two fairly recognizable Hollywood actors (Anna Popplewell (The Chronicles of Narnia,) Daniel Cudmore (X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand,)) and have a whole cast of others who have been in very serious productions (Tom Green (Dance Academy,) Ayelet Zurer (Angels and Demons, Munich,) Mike Dopud (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol,) Enisha Brewster (Footloose,) Masam Holden (Grey's Anatomy, Elizabethtown,) Osric Chau (2012,) and Iain Belcher (Supernatural)) lead me to be very hopeful that this will successfully bridge the gap to a fully budgeted Hollywood film.

A: Armor for cadets/trainees.
B: Frankly, look at the cosplayers. The helms appear big on them too. It's just the nature of it.

In another video, there was an officer who went "What if he's right?" defending chief's statement. I believe they've said it's the story about somebody inspired by the chief, who goes on to become an officer on Infinity. Doubtful he'll be an S-IV, but more likely one of the higher ranking officers on the ship.

When Chief made that first appearance, I nerdgasm'd.
