I would like to play on a map of my school. Either CTF or team slayer would be cool.

It would be a kind of take-over-the-base game. It would be in a castle-fortress type map and you'd have to kill everyone in base to completely take over it. The defending team cannot respawn until everyone on their team is dead and then they switch to the assaulting team.

I always thought it would be cool if you could play at like your school, or neighborhood or something, it would add to the dramatics of how Earth really is getting attacked.

I don't know about creating a new type of game for multiplayer. Is there any types of games left? I thought Halo got most of them covered. My favourite from Halo is...

Capture The Flag where instead of going into the enemies' base and nicking their flag, you have to take your flag and drive it into their base. Those Assault system link matches are great fun.

Twelve Large ²

An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep.

Well, I'd like to start off with a variant gametype of King of the Hill. I'm basically taking bungie's current idea, and tweaking it a little bit to allow for more players and teams. I would also be tweaking the way you play the game, and the decisions your units make, in real time.

There is no specific map type. The game could be played on any number of maps, but as we add more players, the maps will, obviously, have to increase in size.

This variant of King of the Hill no longer revloves around being the first team that capture hills for 2 minutes, or 5 minutes, and so on.. This KotH gametype would be totally different.

Lets just assume the Map we'll be playing this gametype on is able to comfortably accomodate 32 players - 8 Teams/Units.

So, we can have up to 8 - four man - units that are ready to battle it out for the crown. These larger matches would be setup through Xbox Live and Tsunami... Yada, Yada, Yada..

The game doesn't start out like your normal KotH match.

Each Unit is given their own hill destination at the start of the match. The goal, in the beginning, would be to pit each unit vs. each other throughout the match. No longer will we see everyone fighting over one hill.

Ex:

Spawn Location One:

Unit One vs. Unit Two
Unit Three vs. Unit Four
Unit Five vs. Unit Six
Unit Seven vs. Unit Eight

Spawn Location Two:

Unit Eight vs. Unit One
Unit Two vs. Unit Three
Unit Four vs. Unit Five
Unit Six vs. Unit Seven

And so on..

Each Unit would have a chance to battle one another for hill supremacy at certain map locations.

After that, the next set of hill spawns would pit multiple units against each other.

Ex:

Unit 1 vs. Unit 2 vs. Unit 5 vs. Unit 6
Unit 3 vs. Unit 4 vs. Unit 7 vs. Unit 8

Basically, we start out with small battles of units vs. units.. But, after each unit has had a chance to battle each other, the hill spawns start to lead to larger battles.. Pitting multiple units into a battle over a certain location.

The final Hill spawn would lead to ONE hill. The game would end when the final hill timer counts down.

In game carnage report would just show each unit and their total hill times. It would also show the current unit your up against during each hill battle - This would give you the opportunity to take notice of their Unit name, and their battle armour.. Just in case you need that intel for new strategy as the game progresses.

What I like about the game: It forces Units to really think about what their objective should be - in real time. Each battle is different, and each battle gives you the opportunity to rethink your teams strategy. Alliances would be created in the middle of the match in an effort to topple the current kings.

I understand that 8 teams would draw out the game for hours. I was just using 8 as an example. Hell, I wouldn't mind playing for hours, but I know it would suck for those who were losing. I would like for the gametype to take place in under 30 minutes.

I'd probably have to cut the # of teams allowed in half, for non tourney situations, which would pit four teams of eight against each other.
