Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

But aren't we supposed to use the search bar, rather than making a new thread?

There is a difference between reviving an older conversation by replying in an on topic fashion and resurrecting an old thread with a response of "lol".
This..riddles me...because I had "continued" some discussions because I had forgotten the thread existed and I have been hit with warnings for necro-bumping....so.....I mean obviously a one-liner response is bumping but I've replied on topic and still hit with it.

In my experience, topic OP's responding late can be scrutinized much more closely, since there can be an assumption that they have some investment in the thread.

For example, if I was the OP and I replied to a post that was very old and was made even earlier than an old reply of mine in the thread, then I would suspect shenanigans.

That's hard to explain, let me try this.

OP-10 days ago
reply1-10 days ago
reply2-10 days ago
OP responds to reply2-10 days ago
OP responds to reply1-today

I would consider that a necrobump.

Its also alot more obvious when the OP Bumps like this. most of the time you will see a ( very new member.. SUSPICIOUS) Doing a thread revival. more than likely some sort of alt. As we know alts are against da rules.

How are we supposed to deal with this? Just report them? PM a mod? The reason I'm asking is because the last few days there has been a large amount of it that I've noticed.

Or you could just not care? If it gets responses and discussion after the necro-bump, it obviously is still a good topic.
