I haven't read anything passed Ghosts of Onyx and I was wondering if Blue Team ever made it out of the dyson sphere.

Straight from the wandering mind of Watson 203

I believe this point is addressed in Glasslands although I haven't read it. I also think they're expected by some to make an appearance in the Reclaimer trilogy at some point.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

They got rescued by ONI Operatives who apparently have an installation near Installation 03...

Yes. They make it out but they do a 180. Fred becomes a spineless piece of -blam!-, Mendez and Halsey act like two 13 year olds that break up, Halsey becomes a super women who is 60+ years old that can take a punch from Lucy who is going ape-blam!-. Also everyone becomes emo about everything.

Hey I am a big Bungie fan ever since I played Halo 2. I love the series, I love Bungie. I have made a few Bungie logos in my metal shop.

Woah.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

^Pretty much this.

I guess thats what happens when you switch Authors in a continuing series. Their interpretation of the characters just don't match the predecessors often time. This was one clear example of it.

Which is way I prefer Nylunds work. While many don't consider him a great writer. He molded the characters into what they are, no other author has really stayed true to the original except Joseph Staten IMO. But Sgt.Johnson is a stereotypical character that many people understand quite well.

It was confirmed that they are NOT in Halo 4, but they will be addressed in the future. Perhaps they will make an appearance in Halo 5 or 6.
