For some of the Hardcore players out there Legendary Difficulty on
Halo is just not enough. This is not a complaint but a **request to Bungie**
of how I and others would really like to have a difficulty that is harder than
Legendary.
This difficulty should not just be hard (or near impssossible based on
the fact that the jackals are sniping gods, or that your shields go down from
3 plasma bolts.
Rather it should be based on superior manuverring tactics such as combined
counterassaults from the covenant, and other similar AI feats such as calling in
reinforcements. ( I got to admit, Halo 2 did have impresive AI. in some areas. )


*** I hope people are not misunderstanding me. I am not saying Legendaryis easy. In fact in certain early levels it was difficult. However, uping the ante and having one that takes more skill to beat and out smarting trickier AI is what I would look forward too if they did ratchet it up a notch. ***

I don't think they should make them harder, they should just make the AI better and make mor enemies.

The Halo 2 legendary AI were actually really stupid if you think about it Bungie gives them uber strong weapons and Aimbot so they hit you 80% of the time and you have Legendary. I wouldn't mind a harder difficulty as long as they aren't stupidly strong and have weapons that kill you real fast. Halo is supposed to be fast paced was Legendary fast paced no it wasnt it was shoot 1 guy hide behind pillar jump out shoot another one repeat through the whole level and then the whole game it wasn't a very Halo like I thought.

If there is a harder diffculty it should just bring more enimies. you kill one elite and two more come running.. or 3-5 grunts come. and the only way to kill all of them is to fall back counter attack, regroup and fight them strtegicly.

I don't know if there should be another difficulty - but I like the idea, and the name. Legendary should be as hard as your "unyielding," and heroic becomes the old legendary, and normal becomes the old heroic. Because I thought that the diffiulties were kind of warped in Halo 2, compared to Halo CE. Legendary was hard, and easy was easy, but normal and heroic were twisted. In Halo CE, my comfort level was normal, and heroic and legendary were attemptable, not impossible. In Halo 2, heroic was my comfort level. I just think that Halo 2's heroic=Halo CE's normal. It didn't take away from the fun, but I was kind of unprepared for Legendary on Halo 2 because Heroic was noticeably easier.

I agree when you say that difficulty shouldn't be based on unavoidable sniper shots and making MC weak as -blam!-. Also, little things like making an elite limp if it gets shot in the leg instead of doing a back flip as though it got shot in the forehead would make gameplay more enjoyable and seamless. But man, that would be wicked (I know and I don't care) if they could call in reinforcement if their numbers were dwindling.

I think that there should still be a harder difficulty for on reson to play more but some people are right the AI in Halo 2 sucked bad on legendary they had uber strong wepions and hit most of the time that is true to so what i think they should do is make the AI like some one eles is playing with u i mean give then like a human brain let each person thank for there self so that is just what i think but yall see my point right let have a brain so they can thank for there self

Amazing!

Without cheating (I.E. using shortcuts or loopholes) in maps, it's extremely hard to beat Halo 2 on Legendary. I don't care if you're "hardcore." It's still very hard and without doing those things, I find it unreal if someone actually calls it "easy."

I think if the Level is raised then the only characters in the game should only consist of Red veteran Grunts, Black Op's Elites, Orange veteran Jackels and maybe some hunters in there

It is My opinion that the computer generates more difficult AI for these Characters(they are faster Smarter and respond faster to you movements)

new difficulty should be as hard as legendary but grunts are replaced with hunters and ellietes with bruits. drones with banshies and all jackles wield snipers. Also they could triple the amount of infection forms to drain ammo and introduct the juggarnaut flood

The Sentinel Beam isn't excluded from Matchmaking due to any performance concerns. It's excluded because it's ridiculous. It may as well be firing super-accelerated clowns. - Shishka

Legendary is where it's at! It seems easy now that some people have mastered it, but ask yourself how hard was cairo the first time?
